Is it just me or does the Cherudim look cooler in that color scheme?
My eyes may be deceiving me, but are there any mods on that cherudim besides its color and decals?

Yea, its just a model with a smooth and clean paint job along with some decals, nothing else. =D

Let's see..not enough money for airbrushes and I always sucked at drybrushing..
that leaves no other choice but to spray paint!
Spoiler for tamiya spay paint color chart:

Idk, british or racing green? or perhaps park green?
I feel so colorblind.

race green if you ask me.

Kagekyuubi 2009-01-28 23:46

I say park green. Looks closer.

I think it may be the lighting that makes it lighter like park green..idk.
And I don't think the color chart is 100% accurate. Sucks how there isn't a store around here that sells tamiya spray cans that i can try out each color or ask the store owner about it.(Krylon sprays are not recommended and they lack color choices):uhoh:

The color chart is nothing close to what the paints look like in person, but its a good start. So yeah your right about finding a store that might sell them too because the caps are a lot closer to the real thing but they always look different on the model itself.

Im just wondering if a flat lacquer clear coat would eat away at inked panel lines.
Also, would anyone be able to suggest the closest red tamiya spray paint to use on astraea type f?
Probably like this one:

Sorry if the lacquer question is asked before, I know it eats away at any other kind of paint underneath, so I just want to make sure before I start doing the panel lines underneath. Thanks.

How do you print your own decals? Anyone have any experience with this?

MrCapcom 2009-01-29 14:43

MrCapcom 2009-01-29 14:46

oh no I personally won't be painting mines unless I use gundam marker. But when I go to the forums I be tryin to see what stuff looks like with out versus with paint because I plan on not painting mines.

Better not tell that to fans of characters from other franchises which share moulds.

"What do you mean, they won't release Thundercracker and Skywarp using [insert sample Seeker mould]! I'm not made of paint!"
