Well, the GN Sword III Exia R2 has is more like Exia's old GN Sword, in that it has the mini-shield and one beam nozzle. Exia R2 is also missing its GN cables and its thighs are also more like 00's. The rear skirt armor and the backside of the shoulders are also modified. Also, its beam sabers are mounted on its hips where the GN Blades originally were. Also, the bars holding the GN Drive in can open up to allow a big burst of GN particles outward to the rear.

Aaaah, I see. I just rewatched the episode and noticed those differences.

To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed with such a small difference. It would've been better to be a true upgrade instead of just a simplified version of Exia.

Too bad the MG isn't for mecha from Gundam 00 :(

Bandai did not announced MG from Gundam 00

Already announced--
0 Gundam (battle version) / Susanowo / Arche Gundam / Trans-Am 00 Raiser / Ahead Smultron
-----

Possibilities--
Cherudim, Arios, Seravee/Seraphim's Trans-Am versions (with the additional equipment maybe?) / Reborns Gundam / Gundam Exia R2 / Gaga??
------

Speculation for 00F/00P/00V--
All 4 2nd gen Gundams with their variants / All 4 3rd gen Gundams' variants / Gundam Raisel / GN Sefer / Various flag/enact/tieren variants..

Did I miss anything?

Spoiler for lol R2:

Mister Mister 2009-03-29 17:07

as far as I could tell, the main difference between Exia and Exia R2 is that the beam sabers were replaced with boosters, with the 7swords mount changed to a beam saber mount.

chrisbad726 2009-03-29 20:16

they will probably release MG's later on I mean look at MG Infinite Justice.

GN0010 Nosferatu 2009-03-29 20:21

What does R2 mean again?

I think it just means Repair 2.

philmein 2009-03-29 20:55

Sorry for change in subject, but has anyone bought the HGUC Sazabi or the Nu Gundam? How are they in comparison to their MG counterparts?

I was thinking about getting those two rather spending more for the MG. The details, build quaility, and poseability look extremely well-done.

DV04 2009-03-29 21:44

Sorry if this has been asked, but is there a release date on the 1/100 00-Raiser w/ the GN-Sword III (Exia-like blade)?

GN0010 Nosferatu 2009-03-30 00:03

April I believe.

I heard the HGUC sazabi is a lot better in terms of poseability when compared to it's MG counterpart. It seems to be the same for the Nu too.

The HG Sazabi at least (not sure about the Nu) is a lot better than it's MG counterpart apparently.
