I agree with distorted_momentum here, I really can feel the emotion in this signature, and defiantly loved the color, but what amazed me the most in this one was the leaves and how they fitted in the signature :D

Another one? This wouldn't be coming up if I went with a quote like I wanted to. Actually, now that I think about it, that one does have a reference to boobs. :rolleyes:

I thought I already had a thread here, but when I went looking for it all I got was 'Sorry - no matches.'. I assumed it had either been deleted (which seemed unlikely, but who knows), or I never made a thread and only thought I had.

Also I don't think it'd be possible for your thread to be deleted if you already had one. Things fall inactive but I don't think the moderators would delete it without a good reason. So it is rather unlikely.

By the way where is your current avatar from...? I've been meaning to ask this but it stands out with that surprised look followed by an OMG sign. :p

It doesn't bother me at all, honestly, I'm sorry if I gave the impression it did. In fact if I could I'd change my thread title, but as I found out, I can't. :heh:

I didn't think old threads would be deleted, I must have been thinking of old SOTM threads when I remembered posting here.

I wish I knew, I don't even remember where I found it. All I know is the actor is Nathan Fillion, I have a very strong feeling the scene is from Firefly/Serenity, but I haven't finished watching the series, so I can't say for sure.

Anyone want to finish my vector for me? I've done the outline, but I'm having trouble with the colouring. There's cookies for anyone willing to do it.

what program did you use to make the outlines? I can try helping you out but I need to check it first and see if I can do something about it

I used photoshop, I'll upload the psd so you can take a look.

I don't have the time right now, but I am always curious to see the vectors/traces other people do around here. :)

What exactly is the problem you are having with the coloring?

I think the problem is the fact the colours blend together too much, so the colouring isn't as straightforward as anime screenshots/scans, which is all I've ever done. I did try and do it, but it looked horrible every time.


Here's the psd.

You don't have to follow exactly the coloring lines of the source images. It looks quite easy but what I think it needs reworking is the lineart.
1st. The hair linings should be thinner
2nd. The source image's lining colors are different. They have a soft red color which gives the girl a warm and soft look. Black changes everything
I am using Illustrator mostly for vectors and Paintool SAI for coloring/shading. For some reason, I cannot work with PS so I cannot help you with modifications in the work you already did
