those who wished Ichika would never wake up again are gonna be disappointed. :heh:

It starts with Ichika wet, summer dream, where he hears a beautiful and vim singing voice. There he meets the lady white knight

- The distance between them is 5 kilometers. Laura after the supersonic blast we saw in the previous episode
will continue to attack using her Bombardment Package, Pantzer Kanonia
- Gospel charges toward Laura with high speed, trying to reach her with it's right arm
- Laura smirked. Cecilia snipes the arm from above (in stealth mode), using Large Type BT Laser Riffle "Stardust Shooter", which
is part of "Strike Gunner" package (together with 6 bits and hyper sensor visor "Brilliant Clearlance(?)"
- Gospel evades, and another unit comes from behind. It is Charlotte, who previously rode behind Cecilia and also in stealth mode
- Charlotte attacks using 2 shotgun, Gospel's Silver Bell starts to counter. Charlotte's defensive package is called "Garden Curtain" (2 physical shield and 2 energy shield)
- Charlotte calls out Assault Guns using her Rapid Switch
- The attacks from 3 directions (Laura, Cecillia, Charlotte) starts to wear down the Gospel that the computer decides to escape
- Gospel releases energy bullets toward all direction, open all thrusters, and tries to escape. The ocean explodes.
- Then come out Houki and Rin (childhood friends ride each other).
- Rin jumps off Houki, and Houki strikes.
- Houki moves away, Rin attacks with her Impact Cannon (her Boost Package is 崩山 (Bēng Shān? Kuzureyama?)
- Computer: Silver Bell Maximum Activation, Begin". Energy Bullets everywhere
- Charle says to Houki to get behind her. (It is something to do with Akatsubaki). One of Charlotte physical armor is destroyed.
- Laura and Cecillia attack, and from below comes Rin with her Soutengagetsu.
- Rin is injured, but she manages to get one of the wing. Gospel attacks and destroy Rin arm's armor, and she fells into the sea.
- Houki: "Rin! ONORE dikedo!!". She attacks and hit Gospel right shoulder.
- Gospel grips both swords bare handed, and stretches out both Houki's hand.
- Laura tells her to let go of her weapons, and then some Houki's emo sequence
- The Folding Armors respond, and Energy Blade springs forth. She cuts another of Gospel's wing, and it fells to the sea
- Laura: Are you alright? Houki: I'm alright
- They think they've won, but only 5 minutes have passed. So a ball of light omes out from the sea
- Silverio Gospel is going into Second Shift. All IS alert their pilots about the danger. But it was too late
- Kiaaaaa.....Like a howl of a beast, Gospel goes for Laura and grabs her leg
- Slowly and slowly, like a pupa of a butterfly, it grows energy wing
- "Let go of Laura" (they'll make a fine yuri pairing :P)
- Charlotte changes her weapon into blade and thrust in, but it was stopped.
- "Stop! Run away! This bastard is...." And the Gospel embraces Laura in her Energy Wing, and hit her in with rain of bullets
from point-blank range. Laura fells into the sea
- "Laura! How dare you...!" Charlotte throws away the blade, summons her shotgun, aim at Gospel's head, and pulls the trigger
- Charlotte's armors fall off, and blown away together with her.
- Cecillia: This is abnormal
- She goes Ignition Boost. Gospel kicks the barrel, attacks with both it's wing, and Cecilia falls into the blue sea.
- "My nakama...how dare you!
_ Houki accelerates and engages in close combat. Akatsubaki, whose output is steadily increasing, in brief moment, start to
press the Gospel
- "Insert sound of a machine that shuts down"
- Gospel's right hand catches Houki's neck, and Gospel slowly wraps Houki with it's wing
- "Forgive me, Ichika...!

I don't give shit about Ichika's dream

Houki: "I want to meet him", "I want to meet Ichika", "I want to meet him now" "Ichika"

- Houki closes her eyelids (either she gives up or because the wing's light is too strong).
- Suddenly Gospel release it's grip. Houki opens her eyes and see the Gospel being blown away by a strong Electric Particle Canon
- Ichika to the rescue
- "Ichika, is that you Ichika!? Your body, your wounds...!
- Some Houki's tsundere moment, while Ichika strokes her head gentlely
- Ichika gives the ribbon. Happy birthday Houki
- Ichika attacks with Yukihira Type 2 on his right hand, and Setsura on his left
- Ichika cuts Gospel's armor with a claw longer than 1 meter, and then the Energy Shield
- "Updating enemy information. Executing Attack Level A"
- Ichika changes Setsura into Shield mode. It nulifies energy
- Some shit happen. And Gospel is going to use it's full power. A storm of rain bullets fall down
- Ichika wants to act as shield for his friends, and Rin kicks
- "What are you doing. Even if we are rotten, we're representative students you know. Don't worry about us and go finish this quickly"
- "Rin...I understand". Ichika goes and reconfront the Gosple
- Houki monologue about how she's happy and she wishes to protect Ichika
- Akatsubaki seems to respond to that wishe, and from the folding armor overflows with red lights mixed with yellow
- Hyper sensor shows the energy is restoring - "Kenran Butou" Activated. Folding Armor's enery construction bypass...complete"
- "You still want to fight? If then..."
- Houki ties her hair with the ribbon Ichika gave to her, and looks toward the Gospel
- "If then, let's go. Akatsubaki". Akatsubaki flies as if it cuts the twilight sky
- Ichika's energy remains is at 20 percents. Predicted available operation time: 3 minutes
- Houki: Ichika
Ichika: Houki!? You, your damage....
Houki: I'm alright. Take this"
- Akatsubaki's hand touches Byakushiki.
- Ichika: Wha, What...? The energy... is restoring!? Houki, this is..
Houki: Don't think for now! Let's go, Ichika
- Akatsubaki cuts the wing that faces Ichika
- Ichika swings his one mile sword (just joking)
-.............................They win. Finally Gospel has stop moving
- The armors are gone, and the pilot falls to the sea
- Ichika: Oh sshhii..
- Rin catches the pilot. Everyone is fine.
THE END

- Pilots medical checkup
- This is the part where Houki in her swimming suit we saw in last week preview. Eventhough I'm a Houki fan, I feel lazy to translate this part. It involves Ichika's monologues (I think they belong to Novel thread) saying Houki is sexy and cute pg 265 - 271 . The other four go jelly. It ends with Ichika holding Houki in his arms (Carried like a princess for the second time?) and run away

- starts with Tabane talking to herself about Akatsubaki (including Kenran Butou) 42 percents activation and ends with the question to Chifuyu, "Hey Chii-chan, is the current world fun?"
And then she's gone with the wind, literally (pg 275 - 280)

- The true epilogue: Your Name Is
Enter Natasha. She kisses Ichika. Others go jelly. This reset the harem race :heh:

If either one happens, I think we'll have a 2nd season

Ichika does a final shot scene. Of course at that time his moronic head is somewhere else, literally :D. And the girls live happily ever after.
As the studio realizes that money isn't everything (moral lecture series courtesy of Ichika) they announced that they will be no 2nd season, until they have a good story from the writer

The early part was sort of slow: Gospel isn't really doing much, basically playing cat and mouse with Houki and co.
Meanwhile, we have... random dream sequences with Ichika (what was that anyway? Byakushiki? Could they at least be original instead of pulling a "valkyrie figure giving power if it is your wish" stuff).

That's just not the first extreme random things: as Gospel is getting cornered by the girls, it suddenly get a power up "Second Shift", just beam spamming around with glowing wings :heh:

Things aren't really any original and you can guess what is happening: Ichika arrives (with a very ugly second shift at that), but can't overcome Gospel before his shield goes poof (routine for him I guess), until Houki gets a new skill with Akatsubaki and restores Ichika's shield.
Thereupon, we get Episode 1 sequence, although they updated the design of Gospel and Byakushiki.

Color me not so impressed by the action considering the first half was definitely not so smooth with Ichika's dreams being unexplained, and second half being basically the scene we already have seen.

At least, the scene between Houki and Ichika was... sort of nice, until "THAT" happens, with the obvious reactions from the 4 remaining girls (more yandere Cecilia)

Fight scene was ok IMO. I expected the footage from episode 1 to be replayed, and they touched it up a bit to incorporate 2nd shift ISes. The jelly at the end was incomplete though.

Looks like the studio take different approach. This Silver Gospel truly unmanned IS. What happen to America-tan?

Possibility of second season? As for me, I've already lost a hope. No thank you. I just need another Charlotte episode :D.

well the music was nice and they tried to make the fight more serious and intense... well the dream girl is not resolved yet (I know that it might be ichika's IS will sicne she has white cloths and kinda hair is white/silver).... yet why only ichika... even tabane doesnt know why ichika can operate an is....

well ichika's 2nd shift... ok I kinda throguht that he would fly of to the battlefield as he wakes up and we see how his IS changed and flied out in top-speed yet nope... houki opens her eyes and ichika is there >__< not mention that sadly Ichika's IS upgrade was kinda weak ^^ I mean he got new wep ok... but still byaku suffers big time from energy loss... why couldnt he gain an additional solar pannels or something to replenish energy kinda like houki's IS can...

ehhh and sad that they did not make Natasha (gospel pilot) appear I kinda waited for that.... not mention the ending... well it looked nice but nothing was resolved at the end...

like who was the one that send the unmanned IS.... they should have made a clifhanger like Phantom Task unit was observing Ichika... so the villans on the horizont.... yet nope... jelly stuff appeared..... so I wonder what would happen to ichika in the next 3yaers as he graduates the IS school....

2nd season.... well maybe but the chances of how they ended it kinda points that there might be no 2nd season (open ending)

Vonnegut's Rules of Writing #5: Start as close to the end as possible.

That beginning finally becomes an end. It took three months to get here. Was it worth it? I would say yes. The cast all got equal screentime and development, pretty much, and there's a real sense of camaraderie among them, which is always a plus. Well, camaraderie when they're not shooting at Ichika on the beach. Again, the fight choreography and CGI for the ISes were pretty nice, and the teamwork was really well executed. Ichika's mind space thing was interesting, leaves some plot hooks open for the future. I wouldn't mind a second season of this. It's like a more technologically oriented Daimaou, in a way.
