Hmmm... Anyone else think that the argument about the simulation near the end of ep 4, is an anime original? I don't remember that one. It doesn't make any sense how Yui can complain about it considering that the novel started with her and the imperial royal guards testing the railguns via simulators...

Ok. time to run for real this time.

In EP05 of the anime, there will be a mock battle between Yuuya and Yui. While Yui will be piloting her yellow Type-00 Takemikazuchi, which unit will be Yuuya piloting?

I'm curious because if he gets to fight her in even hands, with a F-22 Raptor for example, will show that japanese models aren't flawed. But if he fights her with a japanese model, like the Shiranui or Fubuki, it'll not be as convincing.

Yuuya will be piloting the Type-94-1C Shiranui that was unveiled at the end of Episode 4.

Specifically, it's a Type-94-1C that they're having Boening shove American parts in to make the XFJ-01a Shiranui II Phase 1. Then later they'll shove bits of the Active Eagle in it to make the Phase 2.

In any case, even it it's JP on JP combat, the experience ought to be convincing enough for Yuuya once he actually figures out how the Japanese model control works and finds he can toss the Shiranui about just fine.

Summary of last chapter

>Soviet Russians removed the Limiters on the "Scarlet sister" unleashing their true power/skill
during the most direst moment of the base's history.
>"Scarlet sister" proceeds to kill every BETA in and around Yukon base with impunity.
>Russians lost control of the sisters and They became berserk beasts, attacking everything and anything in their path.
>Tarisa and her Siranui 2 was cut in 2 by the berserk Su-37.
Tarisa survived but barely.
>Command orders all units to stay away from the "Scarlet sisters" till further notice.
>Yui decides to ignore the order and opts to put the Scarlet sisters out of their madness by mercy killing them.
>While the Takemikazuchi and the Su37 attempts to kill each other, yuuya and the rest of argos proceeds to rescue tarisa out of her downed TSF.
>Having brought Tarisa to safety, a reawaken tarisa angrily chews Yuuya out for leaving Yui, Cryska and Inia out there to Kill each other.
----Yuuya returns to the front and during the Ensuing fight, after a Mind/mental image transfer/meld(?????) Yuuya realizes that the "Scarlet sisters" even in their mentally corrupted/Chaotic state, what drives them to continue was the intention to protect him---"Yuuya Bridges".
----Receiving this shocking revelation yuuya tells the scarlett sisters that everything is allright and that he is safe. The Su-37 powers down and the long day is finally over.
----In the following days, the base is in full repair mode, everyone is busy. Yeifei and Tarisa are hospitalized for the injuries they received, Cryska and Inia have been unconscious since the battle and are kept off limits in the Russian labs, yuuya's attempt at visiting them have been denied.
---Meanwhile, new "TOP SECRTE" orders have arrived for the people of project PROMINICE along with a SU-47 from Russia. Several people remarks at how this own thing smells fishy and that shit is about to go down all over the world soon.
---At the headquarter building, Yui finishes making her report of the recent events to her Uncle through Video conference. As she leave the HQ she was gunned down by an unknown assailant, as she lies in her own blood she looks up in to the sky ........(at least it wasn't a BOOM headshot)

Also to further explain the circumstance a bit.
The base was infiltrated by terrorists(save the refugees /americans killed my family/fuck those american and some other reasons). they wrecked havoc across the base with IEDs and stolen F-16s. Releasing the captive BETAs on base and drawing in another group of beta from the outside. The actual number of BETA involved is actually not that much and quite manageable with the base 's firepower. However This is all to create a illusion for the automated system monitoring the Hydrogen bombs placed under the soviet base in secret by the Americans years ago to blow away the commies if this base ever gets overrun. The old shity antique system now detects BETA within the base and BETAS heading towards the Base so it armed the Bombs. This was the goal of the Terroists, dissension among the Soviets and Americans with the revelation of the bomb.
The Russians are made aware of the Bomb's existence(boy are they going to be pissed at the Americans after this) and while the base is busy dealing with the terrorists, the commander made the decision to remove the limiters on Cryska and Inia to eliminate all BETA presence in and around the Base.

Imo, it'd be more of a surprise if anyone in the main cast lived then died.

quouting myself from the ep5 thread.

there are 30 chapters in the original tech gian release. the 5 consolidated volume only covers up to chapter 20. So there is enough for 7 or 8 volumes. but yeah the LN is on a planned Hiatus .

The Kamchatka arc is the next major arc that the anime should be heading into after next week's Beach episode. It will be the first time Yuuya gets to fight The BETA for real.

And yes eventually the sisters love him enough to willingly die for him if needed.

we are currently about to be at the end of Volume one of the Novel.

I need some clarification on this. I've been hearing that the LN has ended, hiatus, and/or the upcoming VN release is the sequel to the LN. Which one is it?

LN is on hiatus. the story is stopped at a cliff hanger. To be concluded in the VN when it is released. Then the LN will continue.
They have not announced whether total eclipse anime will stop at the LN, or will it have a original ending.

personally i think they are going to stop at the same cliff hangar ending as the LN.

I'm not sure but...
Type-00 is a imperial guard TSF so it should have superior performance.
Raptor has stealth so it should win without any problems when in ranged combat. Maybe in melee there would be some problems but given the fact it performed well against F15 it shouldn't go bad.

If you read the page you would have realized that the Novel ends on a cliffhanger to be concluded after the anime. So no, no one other than the people at age would know about that answer.
