It feels like an anime spoiler since everything came to an abrupt end because Kubo hit a dead end. He should have ended the series with the last arc.

Weird chapter...

Nice chapter, pretty relaxing after all these plotkai battles we've seen.

Geez, I hope this whole arc isn't actually going to be about his shinigami badge. There's nothing left in Soul Society of interest anymore, Kubo needs to expand on either Hell or the King's Realm for this to stay interesting.

Just after reading the chapter.

Chapter was longer than usual (which is good). But I see Kubo's probably going to need a few more weeks to show us where exactly this plot is all going. In any case, it's awesome to see Tatsuki's a Tekken fan. That's wife material right there. It almost makes up for the name of the new arc, which sounds very filler-worthy. Karin appears to be getting a promotion by becoming more important to the plot. I just hope that any potential her character may gain isn't squandered by becoming the next damsel in distress.

I dont get the situation exactly.. can someone explain to me why ichigo said:
'' Apparently, I told Chad, Inoue and the others about my shinigami powers when I was asleep. They said they believed me immedeatly''.. What's that supposed to mean? Did everyone lose there memory and did he just tell them again he is a shinigami? Or 'was' in this case.

kubo is just trying to cover up the fact he relised he left a plot hole

Time for Tatsuki to cheer Ichigo up in her own way! So...new chapter, a new beginning. Gotta say this was a really great chapter, the likes of which I haven't read in years (like, literally). Solid plot that doesn't involve inexplicable deaths and interdimensional beings chasing godhood? Yes please :) A single fight that involves badass Ichigo owning street punks. Alright, they're not Kenpachi but it's a good start. Also it's kinda cool to have Ichigo as the center of the story once again, all his thoughts and interactions with others...looking at the anime, Aizen had been doing everything for Ichigo for a very long time, expressing his thoughts included.
Is it just me or does that guy in the last panel have a bitchy Aizen aura about? :confused:
I doubt its name is lost shinigami badge arc...and I doubt even more that it's going to be a simple chase for a useless trinket, normal people got better stuff to steal.

You're correct. Let's clarify something right away: Ichigo's badge didn't get stolen, the badge we see at the end of the chapter is that new guy's. The name of the arc is "The vanished substitute shinigami". Badge isn't written anywhere in the raw pic.

In short, that new guy is basically Sensui (from Yuyu Hakusho).

PS: Yuzu looks freaking adorable.

That she does...and Tatsuki looks hawt^^ I actually thought Newguy stole Ichigo's too, having a second substitute could mean a lot...
If memory serves well, Ukitake had said that there haven't been any subs in a reeeeally long time, so that would mean this guy is a reeeally old shinigami in a gigai (which I doubt) or comes from another academy (which would be cool, especially if he takes a liking to Yuzu in a very IchiRuki way)...that, or I could be wrong about the whole thing.

IIRC, in a not-so-old interview (from last winter, I think), Kubo said there would be two arcs after the one that just finished. A short one and a big one.

I can see the "lost shinigami badge" arc being the short arc in which Ichigo will regain his powers for the grand finale arc. (but then, it would mean Kubo actually plans his story and I refuse to believe that)

Is it really okay for Ishida to be dealing with Hollow's. I mean he's actually killing them, when they're supposed to be sent to Soul Society. Is the afro guy really that bad?

LOL I have to hand it to Kubo, he does comedy well enough but he does have his moments:heh:

It's moments like these that makes me wish I could do such a thing and not actually kill a person:p

and yes Yuzu is freaking adorable. Seems with the change in appearances for OP Bleach will have to do something similar.
I also approve of Tatsuki's new look as well!

I really like how the start of this chapter mimics chapter one very very closely, even down to the title page.

At first I was like when did Orihime get here and why is she in pigtails then I noticed the lack of giant airbags and realized it was Yuzu, also slicked back hair...hmm that man must be Aizen's apprentice only Aizen knew the wondrous powers of hair gel and he passed it down to his student!

Since when do you name the arc in the story, while it's happening? This, and the new guy looking annoying, are my only complaints.

And why don't we have a new thread for the new chapter?

I've never thought I'd miss Bleach. But now, when the new chapter is out, I realised that all I was doing during skiptime was reading older chapters (from the very beginning, actually) and watching Bleach series (even though I don't like Bleach anime that much).

just hoping less focus on round-robin fights (I don't need to know all the fighting characters' power and the same bad power-level twists again), and more focus on story and plot twists (better ones please, Kubo).

I hope this is a low tier arc, don't need to jump right into another big arc right off the bat, let it simmer a little. I thought it was a great chapter, hell, Bleach is pretty enjoyable when Aizen isn't around, looking forward to this arc.

Latest chapter totally felt like a breath of fresh air. One that was really needed with the previous arc.

Bleach goes to nearly two year time skip - so Kubo was taking his two weeks break to read One Piece as a material search XD
I feel like Bleach has a chance for a new start, and I'm full of hope (maybe not full, but still have it) that this might be interesting.
Kubo keep it small and leave SS out of this as long as possible - we don't need having Hitsugaya and co poping for few chapters here and there again :P
