This series debuted in "This Light Novel is Amazing 2012" rankings at the rank of 29.
Volumes 1 and 2, published in July and August 2011 respectively, made it into the top 50 sales ranking on Oricon for the year 2011 (to be precise, from 22-Nov-2010 to 20-Nov-2011), at the ranks of 36 (99,047) and 42 (88,743) respectively.

and also, 魔法科高校の優等生(mahouka koukou no yuutousei) is a spin off manga that will out start this year(still don't know when) on Dengeki Daiou magazine with Miyuki, the sister as its main character.

China ISP, that means the translators there are probably already working on it.

The official release might still be a while consider Taiwan and Hong Kong usually don't act until there are 5-7 books and then they play catch up.

He's probably talking about the Chinese release.

Just checked Kadokawa Taiwan's website, they successfully licensed first 3 volumes but have yet to release them, with the International Book Expo coming up early next month, I expecting them to come out then, so I'll probably wait on this.

The downside is I'm here in the States, so I need to rely on a internet stores and over sea them. Shipping is a bitch, but good thing is that the books in Taiwan is fairly cheap with high quality paper, average LN costs about $6 with roughly $4 in shipping. Which isn't too bad compare to book price in U.S. Sometime I can even cut down on the shipping and have someone I know bring it back to me if they are going back.

I wonder how strong the MC actually is. He might beat the vice-president like a fly within seconds but I wonder how good can he be against his taijutsu master or other strong guys. You can't judge his strength by watching him crush small flies anyway. There are 10 great families who rule japan and I suppose there might be really strong people from those families that can defeat the MC.

I just wonder if the MC could win if he were to take out an entire school. I suppose he couldn't, that means he's not that strong.

Most of the big families introduced in LN vol 1 are girls, rich daughters of high dignity and whatnot and the main character is being building up as this ubber strong clumsy bishounen that everyone can like; so it's not even considering "defeating" or "besting", I can already see where this is heading. They are probably going to end up serving him in one way or another at some point :uhoh:

I'm not ashamed to say that I decided to pic this one up, based alone on AlaAlba's description of the sibling's relationship alone (thus, I'm kinda adverse to the introduction of more heroines :heh: )
