Good news. The chances of getting the entire LN animated are now much higher.

The anime was apparently one of the top recorded late night anime in Japan, and the top shows on some international streaming platforms.
I wouldn't be surprised if a good number of them were loyal Arifureta fans willing to support the franchise as a whole despite the problematic nature of the production.

Also, it was one of the most popularly viewed anime on mainland Chinese streaming site bilibili (Ratings were quite low though).

If anything, it means that Bluray/merchandise sales aren't just The Sole Benchmark for assessing the likelihood of next seasons; streaming/recording figures also play a big part. Like how Shield Hero's producers said the streaming viewer numbers were a prime factor in deciding its S2.

Surprised this is happening since considering how the first season turned out. It hardly seems like anyone was interested making one season of this, much less two.

Maybe not at the start, but the positive streaming numbers told the production committee otherwise.

Wow, I didn't see this coming. I guess popularity and streaming can overcome even the most messiest of anime productions :eyespin:.

I enjoyed the show enough even if I don't love it, but I guess I'm down for watching more of Hajime, Yue, and the rest of the girls on their adventures :).

I honestly had fun watching this series. Given all the negativity, I thought it'd never score a second season. Good to know one's coming.

Apparently, it is hated on trhe West but was pretty popular in Japan. It gave not much bust to LNs but it had good TV ratings and disk sales should be decent.

Now i just hope they have enough time and budget to make a better cg and action scene...i mean...i feel akward when they use a bad cg like eps 1 and some action scene feel....crige..but at least i enjoy the last eps

Animation looks much more on-point, although I'm still worried about the CGI monsters :eyespin:.

Looks like Hajime and his Harem will have to contend with that demon's lover and a woman who seems to have Hajime on the ropes :twitch:.

Well fingers crossed this season isn’t a mess like the first season got at times. Could certainly happen though.

Rumor has it the new content starts season 3 when the flashbacks from season 1 are over. :heh:
