How did you make it look like that?

It's actually the stock beam sabers from the GM 2.0 kit. I found them very nice and better than the other sabers I had in my collection

O.o That's one small "torchlight" you have there! How did you do that?

The beam parts are from Ver.Kas I presume?
The beam saber handles are an after market item that I found at walter hobby: http://www.walterhobby.com/store/pro...0db0d6eaa20fd4

God the Jesta looks so badass....the most menacing of the GM family tree if you ask me.

Hmm, looks like a mix between Unicorn and Jegan.

My first was Arios, but I had help from my cousin. I'd recommend 0 Gundam, both ACD and Rollout are good.

HGUC is basically HG 1/144, right? Unicorn Destroy Mode looks so tempting...

darkstrife 2009-11-11 06:15

can't wait to build my MG unicorn, i think if you guys are thinkin of buying the HGUC unicorn/destroy gundams, you'd be better off getting a MG version as for example, the destroy mode of the HG version lacks proper armaments such as side blade sabres, bazooka and of cos the transformation gimmick

duotiga 2009-11-11 08:13

lol ...the MG Unicorn has its own flaws also.....

Pathis87 2009-11-11 09:07

The MG unicorn has some articulation limitations however this kit was more designed to be an eye candy for display then an action figure like the HG line.
Even with it's flaws i would always choose a MG unicorn above the HG version.

i have a question reagrding the 144 gaddess, they supply you 3 PC9. they hold the side armor peices on the waist to allow more articulation (144 00 gundam uses it also). so far the page says to use 2/3 pc9 they supply, is the 3rd one an extra peice?

Yes that's extra. If you look at the page on the manual where it shows the parts, you'll notice one of the PE9 pieces is x'ed out

Yeah, the MG and HG have pretty much the same articulation. And why not get both? I already have the Unicorn, but the HG version looks soo good.

Ok im new to this on hosting pictures so it might be messed up.. Anyways I went out and bought myself a 1/44 Arios Gundam to see how many hours it took to build a 1/144 scale and it took me 4 1/2 hours, I didn't sand or putty, prime but i had to at least panel line and paint on some parts. So here are some pics.

I used two different camera so that is why some colors are different on the pictures

bio9205 2009-11-11 18:47

Doesn't HGUC Unicorn Destry Mode have beam sabers? I mean, it's just the handle. It looks good anyway, I think I'm going to get it.

thanks alot, now i understand why the parts are X'd out. they're just to mark extras and other options to pose the model with.

GrimmReaperNL 2009-11-11 22:56

ngeee khiong posted the content of both kits in this post.
http://ngeekhiong.blogspot.com/2009/...ent-video.html
the destroy mode does not show any beam saber parts apart from the handles.

not bad, i like the fact that the kit is very 'clean', did u use any topcoat for it?

bio9205 2009-11-12 06:42

Anyone owns the Robot Damashi Gadessa? The Revive colours ver. I'm thinking of getting it, but pictures show the Mega Launcher as without the yellow paint in the weapon. Can someone clarify this?

It has the yellow paint on the barrels, no fear.;)

Just be weary that the Gadessa can barely hold the Mega Launcher, it's pretty heavy for the arms. The trigger handle can't be grasped by the hands that well either.

Still a great figure though, I love it.

No i didn't i was thinking i should but its not worth it to me to put topcoat on a 1/144 scale. This was only a fast build. But thanks for your comments Darkstrife
