I'm not a paint man, unfortunately. I can't even weld without destroying the models, so everything is snap fit.

But yeah, new HGAC will make me splurge my gunpla saving

EDIT: Just tried the pencil trick, I am amazed it works at all.

Pencil is good, and if you sharp it the right way, it can work on some very difficult spots where Gundam Marker usually can't reach. The minus is, the lining made from pencil isn't flat. It will look shiny when hits by light. Not to mention it can be accidentally erased/rubbed off by your own fingers if you use it on some exposed areas where your fingers usually touch. Maybe some flat coating after the pencil will solve the problem.

ZeroXSEED 2013-12-13 08:00

Only using it for the tiny head lines and vulcan, so no touching soon :p

And yeah, topcoat is kind of necessary.

Providenceangle 2013-12-14 14:50

So yeah... MG Sazabi Ver.ka. Should be called massive grade... That's huge for a MG...

ZeroXSEED 2013-12-15 10:29

Huh, conflicted whether to buy 1/100 Ground Tieren or two 1/144 Tierens

How awful.... (if there's a Fantong/Anf I'll buy it right away)

Depends on what scale you prefer, both are good kits. But I have to admit that the 1/100 is superior in terms of details, accessories, and the overall built of the kit. I have HG 1/144 Tieren Taozi and the hip section likes to come off. The crotch is also not that great imo. So there's that.

The 1/100 Ground Tieren is a superb kit, detailed and nice. i'd strongly recommend buying it instead of two 1/144's

ZeroXSEED 2013-12-15 13:14

Yay

Buying 1/100 then

Also, that bazooka

EDIT

Go to shop for 1/100 Tieren, HGUC Hraairo arrived

*facepalm*

Aurelis 2013-12-16 00:52

Did you end up getting the Tieren or Gaplant?

Regarding Gaplant, I personally feel that if you had to choose between Gaplant and Hrairoo, Hrairoo is a better choice although it's always recommended to have both :p

But if it's between a Tieren and Gaplant, hell, I'd say go for the Gaplant despite it being outdated and all. Something about Tieren looks squat and clunky *Gets pummeled by Tieren's fans*

Anyway, I've completed a kit or two, the HG G-Bouncer and the RG GP01.

Dynamic tag cannot be rendered. (PrintableThread)
I know there aren't many fans of the Gundam AGE anime but the kits are quite good in my opinion and the G-Bouncer is an example of that. It's a marvelous piece that looks simple but actually has a lot going on, like the flaps gimmick on its backpack, the shield and beam combo, those sexy legs *I did not and will not get a Gundam Spallow* and the fact that most seamlines are cleverly hidden or disguised as panel lines.

The RG GP01 on the other hand, continues to carry the signature feature of being well-detailed and good-looking. I like the small features like the latching claw at the base of the foot, core fighter and fixed hand for carrying the shield.

I'm hoping to see more reviews of RG Strike Freedom and hopefully, for HGUC Victory and F91 Harrison.

ZeroXSEED 2013-12-16 01:08

It's Hraairo actually, I don't like the mass produced Gaplant that much. I think I'll hold and see if the shop bring more selection (there's a Xekueins as well, dayum)

I just want a bigger kit that's not gundam :p

HG AGE is indeed awesome because it use the latest construction technology before the new line is created, building them are rather easy and fast, and if you have sufficiently good technique, adding the details to already decent unit. (plus they're dirt cheap and abundant)

~Destiny~ 2013-12-16 01:13

I dont think there'll be many more reviews of RG Strike Freedom coming. Most of the 'main' reviews are done, only missing ones are from Hobby no Toriko and rrobbert184 I think

1/100 Tieren is amazing!

I'm just so sad we never got a 1/100 space type or sergei's tieren all reagions type

RX93-2 2013-12-16 07:44

the HG age kits are damn great, I only have a few myself but you can tell none of them are outright bad.
Those kits, parts of Gen2 and the Age3 Orbital's design almost made that wreck of a show worth it.

I recently redid my 1/100 Vent Saviour, I can't paint large surfaces for a while so I did touchups with markers, panel liners and spare decals and Its fun to look back that even these OoB builds are much much better then what I used to make and look good like this.
It's a very solid fun model with plenty spaces to add in colors, easily maskable areas and a solid build.

Providenceangle 2013-12-16 09:48

They finally showed the meteor hopper in bf. Not to spoil anything but it sounds like it's V8 powered lol. Cool or not that's so ridiculous.

ZeroXSEED 2013-12-16 09:55

So who's here going to buy TWO meteor hopper and combine it into one bike? :p

NeutralZero 2013-12-16 10:22

we'll probably try that... that Gundam Rider's cool/nice in its own way...
but maybe not this month... too many expenses...

I will warn you that the Hrairoo needs alot of paint to look good, particularly yellow details such as thrusters and piping

The Teiren on the other hand in 1/100 only need a little gray/black and mostly detailing, and from your earlier posts, pencil will actually look AMAZING on it (the kits detail and solidness truly seems to make it feel and look like a MS Tank, so if you use pencil for the detailing, it will first stand out on green, and the metallic sheen will give that "metal showing through the paint" wear)

ZeroXSEED 2013-12-17 19:06

Huh, just realize that Fenice came with parts to make vanilla green Gundam Wing

How unusually generous of bandai

LoweGear 2013-12-17 19:51

[GundamGuy] MG 1/100 Universal Booster

Interesting how they seem to be releasing the MG Universe Booster as its own kit instead of being packaged as part of a MG Star Build Strike kit, although knowing Bandai they'll do so later anyway.

Well that's actually smart of them, is there any difference between the two strike besides the backpack? Because if not there's little to no use of buying both, and this might hurt the sales.

Just like what this man said in the comment section

I just wish they sold HG/MG Skygrasper, I'll buy three just so I can have every variant, and that assuming I don't go and buy IWSP for the hell or it.

The Star Build Strike has an additional large part on its leg, the new beam rifle, and the Absorb Shield.

Blazer-X 2013-12-17 20:35

I assume that the MG Universal Booster will come with all the additional parts for Star Build Strike? In addition to just the Booster?

If they don't come with the parts then Bandai is trolling the fanbase, because 2800 yen ain't cheap at all

Blazer-X 2013-12-17 20:57

That, or they go for the HG route...

Exclusive GOLD cross effect parts for plavsky gate. Regular release gets Blue WOL.

Really?

I Though Star Build Strike got both?

If there's any limited edition, it'll be pink prototype wings.

HGUC CROSSBONE! PLEASE DO, OH YES!

With regards to Sazabi, I wonder which variant that'll be as I can only recall the white version from Gunpla Builders.

2800 IS pretty cheap, considering how RG Skygrasper is already 2500yen

Well BSFB is 4200 yen so it'll be unfair if the Booster is standalone.:uhoh:

EDIT: sorry for a little spam, when HLJ said "December restock" does that mean the kit will be available somewhere in December?

I really, really want that 1/550 Dendrobium, if only for kitbashing purposes

Well they did show an HG 1/144 Crossbone X1 next to the F-91 in the display shelf at the Iori Hobbyshop in one of the episodes.:heh:
