I would start with MG Aile Strike RM Ver.

ZeroXSEED 2013-11-09 10:18

Currently building my first Gunpla ever

I suppose using HG Forbidden Gundam as rite of passage isn't a bad idea, glad I didn't pick AGE variants...

Oh, and HG Delta is hilariously expensive, anyone here know the reason?

Why? Probably the fact that it comes in that chrome gold plated parts.

This is the one you're talking about right? Just get it from HLJ or hope that someone on eBay will sell it to you at a reasonable price (even a little more). =D

So apparently, the main lead's second suit is revealed.

=D

Yes that's the one

I asked because the store owner offered it to me, and I made a double take when he mentioned the price.:heh:

What did he offer you? What country do you live in?

He offered 1/144 HG Delta

I live in Indonesia, so it's a little hard to get 'authentic' stuff without preordering. People here like their bootlegs :uhoh:

I was really hoping they would make a new mold for the MK II. After all, the HGUC MK II is more then 10 years old and is deserving a better release in HG form as much as is the RX-78-2. Don't get me wrong. The old MK II is one of my favourite models, but it deserves a new original mold. The old one doesn't even come with a regular holding right hand for beam sabers -.-

Ah. Well that's a shame then. I don't know about Indonesia since I've never been there, but you should order from HLJ and eBay.

Buddy, we're from the same country but from my long experience with Gunpla, finding the legit stuff from Bandai with reasonable price is as easy as finding the bootlegs.

If you're being turned off by the extremely expensive price from big toy-stores like Toys R' Us or Toys City, you can go to Hobby shops like Capsule Corp for example. But what I recommend you the most is to take a look at Kaskus's Model Kit section in Forum Jual Beli. You can get lots of Bandai Gunplas without pre-ordering. There are plenty of in-stock Bandai kits and you can just pick which ones you want (considering you have the money). Before buying, compare the prices from different sellers and go for the best deal ;).

What's your thoughts on the Build Fighter kits? Should I just wait for the MG Build Strike Full Package?

I didn't say I want that kit, regardless of grade. I have the MG MK II 2.0 already, thats enough for me. My point is that Bandai is being lazy here in regards to a updated HG MK II. The Aile Strike is getting a new HG based on the Build Strike, so why not the MK II? This really dissapoints me

I guess. But this show is about kit bashing. If you're upset about crappier/older molds, just wait for the MG Build Strike MK II since that'll probably use the 2.0s mold, and I hear that ones is awesome.

I don't want any of the Build Fighter kits. I was hoping for A NEW UPDATED HGUC MK II! Like the new Aile Strike. And don't put words in mouth, I never said the old HGUC MK II was crappy at all, but it DOES deserve an update, like many others. It could have been the first update of more of the older UC Gundams like the Alex and the S Gundam. But it now seems unlikely that any of them will receive an update.

suiton629 2013-11-09 12:55

Just get the MG 2.0 for MK II.

Do you even read what people are writing?! I already said I have the MG MK II 2.0, both A.E.U.G. and Titans version even!

Meh. Then you're okay. =D At least I would be. You can't really expect Build Fighters to get new molds. Maybe if that all Gundam project goes well for the HGUC MK II we'll see it, but there are others that need kits.

Shinobi2013 2013-11-09 13:32

I don't think they'll update the HGUC MK-2 since the upcoming HG Build MK-2 is still using the old mold unlike the HG Build Strike which is totally a new mold(not using the old HG Aile Strike) and eventually leads the newer HG Aile Strike.
