Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku (Chronicles of the Going Home Club)

Or in English, Going Home Club Activity Records. (帰宅部活動記録)

Gangan Site

Bit of a last minute addition, but with Love Lab and Kin-iro Mosaic all airing in the same season, I heartily approve. The idea of what's supposed to be a "no answer" club being an actual thing also amuses me.

backbone 2013-04-24 23:35

Is it original anime or derived from some source material?

Midonin 2013-04-24 23:44

Manga adaptation. It only has two volumes out so far.

Nachtwandler 2013-04-24 23:45

It's manga adaptation

One more moe-slice. How I tired of them. Really.

backbone 2013-04-25 00:54

Yeah (=_=), getting tired with all-girls cast show

At least give us another shows like Kimi to Boku or Danshi Nichijou to balance things out. But eh~ we're talking about moe moe fans after all

Chiaki_chan 2013-04-25 04:08

Yes!!!!!!!!!! but my question.......... time episode is 24 or 4 min...............? please 24 minutes!! >_<

I second that.... It's boring... >,> They might discuss nonsense of everyday life,...

Nachtwandler 2013-04-25 13:52

It's good if such a shows are like Azumanga for example. But the don't get much of such last years

Midonin 2013-05-09 09:25

Website

Director: Hikaru Sato (storyboard art and episode director on episodes 15 and 24 of Polar Bear's Café)
Series Composition, Script: Go Zappa (Nakaimo, Shin Koihime Musō)
Character Design: Takahiro Sasaki (Baka and Test)
Opening Theme: Otome Shinto
Animation Production: Nomad (Rozen Maiden, Milky Holmes)

So the OP is being done by the same group behind GJ-Bu. For me, this bodes well, if it means this is anything at all like GJ Bu. (Though I've heard it's a "wacky gag comedy in the skin of a daily life series." - which sounds even better!)

Midonin 2013-05-23 09:40

And the cast is revealed.

Ibuki Kido stars as Natsuki, and the rest of the cast is a bunch of newbies who don't even have Wikipedia pages. Oh, and the cute animal mascot is played by "M・A・O", who Wiki reveals is actually Mao "Luka Millfy" Ichimichi. Didn't expect her to end up here.

Chiaki_chan 2013-06-09 20:50

anime 5 min or 24 ???

Midonin 2013-06-09 20:52

Nothing's been formally revealed, but since its specs are similar to GJ Bu, I'm guessing full length.

The official website has updated (also the Gangan site), and revealed that the show airs on July 4th. (Damn, Thursdays are crowded this year.) There's also a promo, but it's region locked, so I can't give my comments.

The NTV English page confirms that it is full length.

It also has the English title as Chronicles of the Going Home Club. And it has 12 episodes.

OK, that's a keeper. It was entertainingly daft, and it's not so much like they broke the fourth wall as they never bothered putting one up in the first place.

The emphasis here is definitely on the wacky fun side of things.

SQA 2013-07-04 17:02

Well, it's 24 min & 4 minute! Haha, that was pretty good.

Lots of animation jokes and 4th wall breaking. There's a lot of room for hilarious hijinks here.
