Discovered the existence of this manga while looking at the Japanese Judas covers (why must the English version have different covers...).

Nowhere has a synopsis so...

As far as I have read, it has proven to be a really enjoyable manga. It mostly focuses on comedy (so far), and it really is funny with constant uses of chibi forms and such. And at the same time, it sometimes gets pretty serious and mysterious...

Characters are pretty basic, I guess (but likable). Childhood friend Mitsuki Sohara, the very strange Sugata Eishirou, mysterious and emotionless Ikaros (the girl that fell from the sky), and the basic protagonist, Sakurai Tomoki. As Tomoki describes the three, "killer chop woman" - "sky-flying pervert" - "UMA".
For a protagonist, Tomoki really was entertaining, like when he started going out of control using Ikaros' card, which can do anything and such (scary... really...).
Art is great, as expected.

I just hope this manga doesn't end in a way similar to Judas or something (not that I hated Judas' end or anything).

I recommend trying out the manga! No, it doesn't seem any group is translating this though!

Well since there aren't any scanlations out, and it's not in the been released anywhere else to my knowledge, I doubt all that many people here except those able to already easily read Japanese can get too interested at the moment.

I can't even find Japanese raws; the only source I have are Chinese scanlations. But the manga itself does look pretty interesting, and it isn't as generic as supah em makes it out to be.

I suspect a lot more folks are since the Anime was released. It will be interesting to see how a series that appears to try to integrate DearS and Saikano works out...

I read this series though didn't know a manga thread existed. I'm pretty sure with the anime airing now more people are bound to join the discussion.

Just read 2 volumes and I'm surprised. I thougth it'd be some random ecchi story but it's really enjoyable and fun. Besides there're serious parts sometimes and touching scenes. Not bad.

I'm reading this, but the fact that the manga is a monthly release series makes me sad...;~; I've re-read ch1-31 twice now...waiting for the next chapter to be released.

Man don't wanna spoil myself. I'd better be an anime only watcher for now.

well I'm relooking (and re-reading if its in hiragana ^^) the manga too to the latest chapter.... its very interesting but I dont get it who is that angel girl (the one that he keeps dreaming about... and cryingwhile doing it...) well I dont spoil more with that issue but I dont get it who she is for him (what kind of relantionship they have)

OK, for those of us who've read the Manga up to the latest chapter scanned, and who obviously don't mind spoilers, would someone care to fill us (or at least me) in on what happens between chapter 11 and chapter 31?

random things happen on the way.... like the pony-tail nymph beign all pissed and jelous of [artemis] for haveing a good master [pervered but good in heart] she herself destroys her chain and stops being a slave to that angel-villan.... after that she wants the main char to be her master and he accepts her.... two of them stick with him...

later a next angel appears to kill the main char.... she fails offcourse but is still trying.... well she is very clumsy ^^ in the end she herself too destroys her own chain in a serious fight......well to the earth is sended a small girl [nun] which name is [chaos] she is very strong and no one can stand against her besides [artemis the 1st angel]

chaos has an ability to take a look of people... she mostly uses the main char look to toy with other angels feelings for him.... in the end chaos in main char look gived an order to artemis to hurt herself [which she does becouse she obeys orders].... here the 3rd angel is pissed and understands that the main char is a good person and she destroys her own chain and starts to fight the chaos.... it looks nice and it seems she wins but no use and chaos is not much touched.... here artemis appears [hurt but angry].... she bables stuff that she belives in her master for beign a good person that wouldnt do that to her... she yells that she felt pain when she saw the main char with other girls [jelousy] and that gived her strenght and defeatschaos.... hmm if I remember she tossed her into deep water where fight pressure holds her movements....

both artemis and the 3rd angel returns to home but main char is pissed becouse they destroyed his house roof ^^...... after that and some warm scene the nymph grows finaly her wings again and can fly... she cathes the main char and fly while he is going all "kiyaaaaaaaa' in fear ^^

I guess now the 3 angels will stick with the main char since it was the current chapter....

I kinda dont get 1thing... about the heaven world and the connection to the main character.... I mean the glassy guy appeared in the heaven world to learn what is going on... he was detected by some enemies but was saved by 1opposieing girl (that from the dream)... she is locked in a small house with very strong barriers.... the glassy guy learned something that most of the heaven citizen's are locked in a hibernation-like capsuls [angels]... and their images are shown on the real world on earth in figures of normal humans [like in matrix... they sleep there in capsuls... but their other selfs are in other world in this case the human world {thy dont have wings and stuff... dont know if they dont realize it}) I'm waiting for some scanlators to go to that chapters to learn more since its way way way to small japanese knowlage to understand it all.....

this kinda makes the main char as the only one beign able to appear in the angel world when he sleeps [kinda the opposite to the heaven people who while sleeping appear on earth ^^]....... so he sleeps on earth but than his other self [from dream world] appears in the heaven world....

its seriously confuseing like hell ^^ but in general its that the story goes in the dirrection of discovering what is going on... and the angels slowly ending up with the main character ^^

Someone was talking about this on Cracked forums, it's interesting how it got licensed so fast, I guess a lot of precautions get taken with new works or something? I can give it a try on Crunchyroll, much as I dislike streaming. Viewing ads is fine, but I'd rather it be in a toolbar or something and still get to dl for those of us with bad net connections.

It must be pretty good if it was protected ahead of time, kinda like FMA or SE.

31 chapters, but each chapter is 35 to 40-some pages long so there's a lot of material. And I mean a LOT. Just know that there's way too much to fit it all into a 12 ep anime without a 2nd or 3rd season, without a lot of cutting.

zibi88's summary opens up new dimensions of confusing so I'll summarize in a nutshell:

Spoiler for ch11-31:

Nymph is sent back to earth, and her bastard master implanted a timer on her so that she explodes like a bomb if she doesn't fulfill her mission of capturing Ikaros within a certain period of time. Nymph gets a taste of the main cast's life and basically is turned to their side and ignores the order.

Heaven sends down a pair of angeloids called Gamma and they basically give Nymph a beatdown and rip her wings off.

Tomoki, Ikaros and crew arrive (cool scene, seriously). Ikaros reveals her true nature to defend Nymph, but Tomoki says he doesn't mind her being a weapon so happy moment there. Tomoki, Sugata, and Sohara try to break Nymph's chain before the timer counts down as it's electrocuting them in the process, while Ikaros kicks the utter crap out of the Gamma angeloids. They run off and Tomoki and the others have managed to sever the chain, freeing Nymph from her evil master, and so she becomes a part of the main cast and moves into Tomoki's place.

Some chapters involving some kind of alternate world where people are living in some kind of matrix-reality, and Nymph's feelings for Tomoki start blossoming and same for Ikaros, who has no idea what it is she's feeling for her master.

The bastard dude sends down another angeloid, a type delta combat angel called Astraea; who's supposed to be really strong, but she's adorably stupid and clumsy as well. Seriously, she's such a darling. Her mission is to kill Tomoki, and basically we have several chapters of her trying a few times and eventually failing to the point where the bastard guy says she can't come back to heaven until she fulfills her mission. Astraea moves in with Sugata and joins his life of poverty. :D

In heaven, the bastard guy is attacking the hideout belonging to the angel woman in Tomoki's dreams, and she tries to warn Tomoki through his dream. Heaven sends down a new type of angeloid, named Chaos, who confronts Nymph first and basically mindf*cks her by impersonating Tomoki.

Ikaros comes in to save the day but when Chaos transforms into a fake Tomoki, she throws Nymph away to safety as Chaos, in Tomoki form, forces Ikaros to start attacking herself.

Nymph is elsewhere and Astraea meets up with her. Nymph tells her to go save Ikaros, but the bastard dude orders Astraea to kill Nymph, until Tomoki shows up and becomes the icon of pimpage (I cannot find words adequate enough to describe his awesomeness), making Astraea fall instantly in love with Tomoki. She flies away in a tsundererrific fit going all, "I'll kill you when I get back, I swear!"

Astraea flies off to where Chaos and Ikaros are and attacks Chaos. The bastard dude goes "WTF are you doing you moron!" and Astraea in a most epic scene of badassery, goes, "STFU!!!!" and breaks her own chain with her bare hands. And then proceeds to lay the smackdown on Chaos, until Chaos opens up with a huge beam attack and is about to overwhelm Astraea when Ikaros comes up behind her, grabs Chaos by the face, and blasts through the atmosphere at stupidsonic speeds towards the ocean and meteor-bombs Chaos into the depths of the Pacific.

Astraea saves Ikaros from plummeting as well at the last moment. All of them return to Tomoki's place where there's a touching moment between Tomoki and Nymph, with his saying that he'll be her master despite her being wingless to show her that such a thing doesn't bother him at all. In the midst of this, a miracle happens and Nymph's wings have come back. She picks Tomoki up and flies off into the sky all happy and such and we have this cool double-page of all three angeloids flying through the sky with Tomoki.

In the meanwhile, Chaos is at the bottom of the ocean, immobile due to the immense pressure, contemplating the meaning of love and developing a psychotic (as if she weren't psychotic enough in the first place) case of sadistic love by tearing up a poor innocent deep-dwelling fish.

Dun dun dun, will she return in the future?

Seriously awesome manga, seriously. You can tell the story gets cooler as it goes on by how my language changes. :D
