it only depends on what you prefer. Perfect Grades are alot more detailed than mastergrades, and it is very emphasized in the internals. The mastergrades are not as detail, but its alot cheaper and probably can achieve the same result through kit modifications.

the new WZC, its all shiny
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...s02/fd8d_1.jpg doubt its any eaiser, prob the same difficulty. btw, another questions, in your guys opinions whick is better, strike or strike rouge??? I reckon they need a freedom PG model, either, but they need one. |
the WCZ looks pretty much the same to me. i dont think i would pay that much for minor changes. i like strike rouge cuz of the color (which is the only difference between the two). And there are already so many variations of the Freedom and SF that i dont think a PG would be produced, but its so popular it might. I'd rather see a PG-Hi-Nu....but thats just me:)

There is rumours flying ard that next mg will be destiny......

My camera's has slight problems but heres the picture of the Strike Freedom i was truely inspired by and my model i built is an exact same replica of it. THe original owner has my thanks and recognition. |
nice :). is that champaigne gold? seems like that color is popular for the SF
|
Tamiya has titanium gold that looks good out of the bottle. Though I intend to use a mix of Gunze silver, black, gold, clear yellow and clear orange. I used this colour mix for my Zankantou.
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h5...r/P1010337.jpg It's a bit bronzy but that can be fixed with more clear yellow. Before anyone calls my colour mix redundant, Max Watanabe uses at least four colours for a black and ten colours to get a white for his preshading. |

i believe it is made by using the MG Freedom as the base and then adding on the 1/100 HG Strike Freedom's parts such as the wings, beam rifles, etc...

It's called kit-bashing and it's been done since the early days of modeling.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kit-bash With lots of cutting, measuring, swearing, blood, patience, etc that's how. |
damn, not on my list of to do things, sounds too hard and time consuming

Hi there folks, I'm new to this board, but not new to modelling. I'm posting right now becuse I just picked up the MG Hi-Nu Gundam, and although I'm dying to put it together, I want to do a custom pain job on it. I've got a couple ideas in mind, but I'd like some input from people.
So, first of all, I want to do away with the blue and white scheme. I mean, yeah it looks cool, but I'm looking for something different. One of my ideas, which has a few different sub ideas, is to do it in a red and white or red and gray/silver combo. Now the easiest way to do this would be to just change the blue to red, and keep the white or change it to gray/silver. I'm kinda shying away from the silver idea though, because I don't like my models to be shiny... I like a weathered look. The other idea is to chance the blue to white/gray and the white to red. This is my not-feeling-too-ambitious paint scheme, where it'll be cuztomized, but nothing spectacular. I'd really love something more spectacular, but time constraints due to work and stuff are on my mind. Also I haven't done a custom job in a while, because of school and lack of money and time, so I don't want to butcher it. The other ideas I have are doing it a yellow and black scheme, but not just a colour swap, more of an angular urban camo pattern. so anyway, before this get's WAY too long, does anybody have any colour combo suggestions? I'm looking for ideas. Thanks for taking the time! |

that the one? it looks good, might get one too, i like the stock look, but maybe gold, u cant go wrong with gold i think, and maybe darker blue. |
Gold might work... Have to run to the model store today and pick a bunch of stuff up, so I might add that to my list.

Hi, I'm new here, and somewhat new to Gundam models.
And I just need to know something about the Silhouette F-91: Hardy Gun. Does the hardy gun have the same quality of HG models? Thanks a bunch. |

So a minor update on my MG Hi-Nu... I got all ready to go yesterday (on my day off) and got everything set up only to find that my airbrush has decided it's not going to work anymore...... I'm a little annoyed.... So now I have to wait...
|
^^^ lol, more time to plan. it will be worth it tho. i really want to work on a HI-Nu, but i just bought the SF FBM not long ago so i cant afford it yet. btw, did you decide on the color combo your gonna use?
|
whats the differece between conversion, resin, and normal model kits, somone care to explan, and tell me please which is better.
|
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conversion_kit - Different genre but the premise is there
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garage_kit Which is better? Depends on what you want. And please use google to look for your answers. There are many questions which have been answered to death on the internet. |
Where exactly are the rumours of Master Grade Destiny Gundam coming from? Sources/Articles/Pics please? (google didnt give me anything)
|
|
wahaha please be true! I'd pay for it to be true, then buy it, then buy another one for dual arondights :D

I agree. I always thought that HCM-Pros were top of the line, but that was is...meh. It looks like 1/144 NG Gundam SEED scale...where the plastic is very inarticulate...even though it's an HCM.
|
It doesn't look bad. After all this isn't a puny 1/200 :heh:
Of course the smaller the figure the least ugly the plastic appears :P By the way, I'm rather dissappointed at the latest PG WZC. Reading the description at the Bandai Hobby site, this looks to be a more widely available attempt following the Event-only PG Strike :/ I mean, We don't need to know that it has a synchronizing armor plate that moves when the knee is bent, or that the rifle's can dock and un-dock, I mean come on Bandai just follow a tea quote and just have a better "Time well spent" :heh: |

I did decide on the colour scheme, I'm going with a black (Tamiya Nato Black since I wanted something that wasn't quite pure black, but still dark) Yellow and White. I hope it looks good when I'm done. |
