Anti-hero anime with "evil" protagonysts

I just finished Code Geass after watching Death Note and i really would like to find a mind-twisting anime with a really "evil" protagonyst.
I want it to be really serious/dark and i would like for the protagonyst to be a real mastermind and have everything under control.
Are there any animes like this?

Sadly I don't know any =/

The only one that comes to mind is Ga-Rei Zero where Yomi used to be a good person but then turned into real killing machine.

Not exactly what you want but that's the closest I know.

It's not exactly what you describe, but I'll bet you'll like Monster. While the antagonist is clearly the "evil" one, the protagonist has moments of indecision about whether he, too, is pursuing a path of "evil."

Otherwise, Monster has pretty much all you asked for.

IMHO Light Yagami is the best villain protagonist in the history of anime. "I AM GOD"!!!!

Not exactly with the entire "in control" part, but Elfen Lied is a very good series that has a villain protagonist.

^Ah yeh, totally forgot about it. Kind of like Ga-Rei Zero. So yeh, those two are the best choices so far.

If you've seen DeathNote and Code Geass, then you've seen them all...Sux to be you right now, but YuYu Hakusho does venture into that dynamic with an awesome turnabout involving the fight between the main character and the main villain (The elegant horror that is Shinobu Sensei is close to what you want)...

But as for the rest, you're $hit outta luck...

bahh..
yeah i realized it ... I clicked "anti-hero" etc. on anime-planet and i just got code geass and death note.
It's sad that this kind of anime's are so few :(

EDIT: Are there any anime with the main (guy) protagonyst having everything under controll ?
i just want to have the feeling that he is just Overpowerd :)

Well Naru from Ghost Hunt is a very confident character and usually has everything under control and knows what to do. There were only few slips on his part. That's mystery show.

Onizuka from GTO always does a lot of crazy stuff but is always confident about what he is doing even if it is totally insane. It is a comedy show though.

Another comedy is Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai where the main character is Keima and who also is always very comfident in what he is doing and seems to have everything under control. It is more of a comedy/romance show.

That's all I can come up with for now. Sadly they are not action shows, for which you are mostly looking forward.

I'll try Ghost Hunt and GTO to see if they fit me .
Also i've seed Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai (aka The world god only knows).

But , is there anything without comedy?

What about Gokudo?:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gokudo

Quote:

"Unlike most main characters he is an antihero, willing to resort to violence to
fulfill his agenda. He does not hesitate to abuse the needs of people, sell out his
friends to save himself, run away from any dangers, or ditch others who helped
him if he does not have any more interest in them."

There's also Sorcerer On The Rocks:

Quote:

"Meet Chivas Scotch: a sorcerer with a style all his own. The opposite of
benevolent and honorable, he's an arrogant and domineering misogynist who
travels the lands with his (mostly female) servants, searching for opportunities to
indulge his greed and his desire for female flesh."

And don't forget Bastard!!:

Though in these anime, the protagonists don't always have everything
under control.
