Mmm... I knew about this series for quite a while, but never got interested enough to read it... Still don't know if I should buy and read it...
Maybe I'll give it a try and see what the anime has incoming or something or something... *mumble*

Private Hekiyou Academy's student council members are selected in a strange way. By a popularity contest!
As a result, starting with the president, Sakurano Kurimu, the council is full of girls. In the middle of all of them is one male student, Sugisaki Ken.
This work is the written documents of the daily lives of this student council.


It seems.
A comedy-type story, with parodies (particularly from Haruhi and Dragonball).

Also, there is a manga adaption on-going too.

Ah... This illustrator is the one who did the H2O manga...

So another shounen light novel series from the boy's light novel label Fujimi Fantasia Bunko is getting animated :)

Anyway, there's also a shounen manga adaptation of this light novel series, its being serialized in the shounen manga magazine Dragon Age Pure.

This titled has been rumored for so long, since May last year. ^^;

Ohhh Seitokai. finally confirmed!
VERY curious about how they would animate this thing.. 99% of the story was made up by the main characters talking in the student council room.

The comedy is good, I really lol-ed quite a bit when reading :D

But the parodies.. The novels are FULL of it, from manga, anime, games, other light novels, to Japanese tv shows or even the publisher... may be a problem if you're not familiar with these stuff :heh: To be honest I couldn't get all of them myself..

Oh the artist is Makura's main illustrator Inugami Kira. I've recently become a fan of his art style.
I'm always intereted in light novel adaptions (mostly to see how they turn out).

Is it me or does the art look REALLY similar to the art of the H2O VN?

Parody-centric, light novel, student council...

So far the factors are adding up considerably. Looking forward to more info on this one.

they have Inugami Kira as their illustrator. So thats why the art is similar.

The anime will start broadcast in October 2009.

And the website has the cast list. Looks like a cast of mostly unknowns. That's not a bad thing, of course.

Animation looks pretty good. In terms of character design.

Takashi Kondo playing the male lead is the only one to have had a significant amount of roles.

The official website just got a major overhaul. Not a whole lot of info just yet, but the stage is set for it.

Ahh. Thank God it's confirmed! This is surely in my to-watch list for fall.
