The shoulder holes still look kinda silly in flight mode, and it looks to have too much blue in that mode, otherwise its alright! :) |
Found a review of the HG AGE-2 Normal. After 10(?) HG Age kits released so far, I'm still not impressed to buy one.:heh:
|
big gunpla sale at HLJ! some really good stuff in the mix, like the MG delta plus is 30% off now^^

this is also the reason why i dont own a HG jesta yet. i have the feeling that we will get a MG of it som im willing to wait for now^^ |
I guess part of the reason is that I am also occupied with RGs (I just finished putting stickers to Freedom the other day, I might not built anything for weeks because my attention will be on it for a while :heh:). So no HGs for now.

but the jesta would just go so very well with the ReZEL and delta plus! |

About AGE stuff the HG stuff still hasn't really impressed me much expect for the G-EXE which I'm hoping for MG anyway so also not getting any AGE stuff till most of it is released.......and more of it ends up on sales later on:p Gotta save as many pennies as I can. Delta Plus is on sale atm and I'm damn tempted to get it! |

the HGs do seem pretty impressive to be honest. i simply dont like the designs of most of them^^ plus im waiting for what they might release in the future, especially the MG and megasize kits. fur the current price the delta plus is totally worth it in my opinion! |
Looking at the MG Heavyarms' runners, looks like we have the solution to a debate we had in this thread a while back:
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5NrooRXQyz...Y/s1600/10.jpghttp://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JIFQPXHmgb...x0/s1600/9.jpg Yup, all the missile groups are individually molded separate from the rest of their parts assembly to eliminate the need for masking, and even the chest Gatling in the same manner. |

I like High Grade kits in general since they are relatively cheap and decent, but I just can't urge myself to get anything aside from MG kits (unless the kit is only available in No Grade, 1/100 Scale). For the AGE series GunPla kits, I think it's best to wait for the MG kits. From the pix I have seen, they look very promising. :) |

But I've noticed that there's no gating for the chest gatling. You will have no doubt noticed that the H-Arms Kai EW have twice the number of chest gatling than the normal H-Arms EW. If the H-Arms Kai EW is under development, then they will need to redo this specific entire tree. And if so, is Bandai indicating there's more changes for the H-Arms Kai from the original draft ? |

Is it me or are the current MGs' hands are using the part-swapping gimmick for the fingers as the new standard for MG hands? And does anybody here have that 1/144 System Weapon that has the beam gatling? If so, can you mount the beam gatling to the Unicorn's forearm? |
I think the new style of MG hands is that finger swapping thing.

Hoping to also get a First Grade Buster and MSiA Buster somehow so my collection is absolutelly complete ;) |
That thing looks glorious, AGE-3 would benefit the most from an MG and I can't wait for it.
EDIT: Ninja'd |

so considering how important they are i suppose that they do have a high chance to be released soon as well. and besides, the jegan could be released as a general universal century MG at any given time. the jesta is a suit that appears specifically in gundam unicorn. |

=P I hope they get it out fast. I may or may not get into the MG AGE series. And if I do, you know I'll go hardcore like my favorite series that I'm waiting for that 1 kit to come out...you know which one. :p:p:p |

I've made it no secret that I don't like the Titus but this is.......... The MG AGE-1 tho does look nice, it's a nice kit but still not enough for me to get it. |

For one, Bandai said they would be limiting the number of MG kits they release in a year. The Unicorn and AGE are the new series so they'll be pumping out a lot of kits from those 2 series. Exia R2...Maybe it'd be a surprise for this year. We also have the MG Wing EW kits that need to get releaes like the Nataku, Heavyarms Kai (i.e. Custom), and Sandrock Kai (i.e. Custom). Maybe we'll see the MG Wing Zero (TV) too and if they want to go all out do a ver. 2.0 of the MG Wing Zero Custom. =) Seed...yea they're doing that remaster HD thing, but I think they'd put more priority to the Unicorn & AGE, then the Wing & 00...followed by Seed. They did that Buster Assault Shroud in MG but that doesn't mean we're gonna see the others done in MG so soon. Inevitable...maybe...but that doesn't necessarily mean it'll come this year or next. |
promo images of MG AGE-1:
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hYQJTeT1hM...s1600/2345.jpg to be honest, those big blocky pieces in the shoulders and the frame in general and how the limbs are put together... this actually reminds me more of a HG than a MG! :I it appears that the new principle of using less plastic and less pieces hasnt been applied to the duel alone. im pretty curious how good (or bad?) these models will be now! |

or Are the MG's going to maintain the same quality as they previously have, with less pieces? the picture of the shoulder innerframe would be a step up, theres no point in having that piece be split in two that you have to snap together, if Bandai is going to be more smart about the parts (like the shoulder innerframe) then i see nothing bad with less parts. As someone mentioned earlier, maybe we will start to get something like RG plates in MG form soon, which could be both good and bad at the same time. |

The only detriment I can think so far (until I build this kit) is when painting. Before, one could have five or more shoulder pieces that can be painted with multiple colors easily. Now, prepare to mask all the time. |

the guys at bandai know that they are known for great model quality and i dont think they will throw that reputation out the window just because they want to safe 10 grams of plastic on each model kit XD |

Ebikawa design of MG Age-1 make me feel have the 1/100 Seed Destiny kit feeling
|
Wow. MG AGE-1 is beautiful
|
I think this new engineering style is basically tailored to make it easier by making it more adaptable to the leg & arm changes for Sparrow and Titus, which also turned out to be more cost effective & efficient.
