Just wondering Did bandai ever release a web exclusive Launcher and Sword parts for the RG Aile Strike? Or were they planning to? Or the parts of the NG were compatible?

Did they not also release a RD of the strike, I dunno i think i remember seeing something to do with the Launcher and sword unless my imagination deceives me

There is no RG Strike. People just took pix of the RG Aile Strike without the Aile Pack. And for the Launcher and Sword packs, people just used the 1/144 HG version and painted it.

i meant the aile strike, and so you are saying launcher and sword 1/144 NG's are compatible?

Well I've seen people use the No Grade 1/144 and High Grade 1/144 for it

1: He said "RD" aka Robot Damashii and not "RG" for his second question. No there hasn't been an RD Strike prior to now. There is an upcoming RD Aile Strike though.

2. There is no 1/144 HG Launcher and Sword packs. Both were never released in HG form, only in FG. Its those FG Sword and Launcher packs that were modded unto the custom RG Strike Gundam.

~Destiny~ 2011-08-09 22:18

And no, they aren't compatible with the RG Strike unless you do some modding.

yup, you have to change them quite a bit to make it fit. you also need to paint them a lot since they are just old no grade parts.
stryderprime on youtube modded the parts to go on the RG strike, you can look into it there.

by the way, has anyone here gotten their MG delta plus yet? mine SHOULD arrive tomorrow.

Exia_00 2011-08-10 11:22

thanks guys ^ :)

Appel 2011-08-10 18:37

just finished my MG infinite justice, my first ever TT Hongli KO kit :P
and i must say, im REALLY impressed both by the kit itself and by the quality of the knock off.
some pieces didnt fit all that well and i had to use a little more force to put it together. also the quality of the plastic isnt nearly as good as the quality of bandais plastic (or maybe their molds just arent as good, i dont know. the plastic doesnt smell so it cant be THAT bad.)
however, i was able to put the model together without any problems and everything works like its supposed to. and with top coat you dont even realize that its a knock off :P
what REALLY sucked though were the stickers... when i wanted to put on the eye sticker it ripped when i wanted to peel it off of the sheet... luckily i had all the necessary paints. so i didnt really use any stickers. turned out pretty nicely, too^^

so yeah, if you want the infinite justice but dont want to spend 4000 yen plus shipping id go with the TT Hongli kit, i can recommend it :P

here we go^^

http://www.abload.de/img/foto09007uz3.jpg

like i said, the kit aint bad. it stands well, posing works well. and it looks ok, too.

edit: also the MG trans-am raiser will be available on GGinfinite... for $176 with just one LED XP the prices of gginfinite simply suck... he is selling it at double retail price, thats a JOKE!

Sworra 2011-08-11 13:56

Pretty good for a knock off.. I see what your saying about the nubs, but if it were fully painted i don't think you can tell the difference from a distance compared to up close and i mean foot for foot, head for head. lol Good job Appel

im not going to waste more money and paint on a knock off :P it looks alright i guess, thats all i need^^

i have 2 more knock offs on the way to me, the destiny full blast mode and the zaku II white ogre. i wont top coat or panel line those though... the justice kinda absorbed the ink of my marker at some places (thats why the shoulders look a little darker for example). i will only top coat a few pieces of the white ogre to secure some of the decals because that kit NEEDS decals, otherwise it just looks like a genereic white zaku II :P
speaking of decals, the decals that came with the justice are kinda weird... i got a regular sheet of peel-off seals, a regular sheet with the dry transfer decals AND an additional sheet that has the dry transfers as peel-off seals!

yup, i saw the review from Prime92 on youtube, he also talk about these sticker as well. however i think i like those try decals as regular peel off, lol cause from time to time i did screw up, lol
now i really can't wait to get my shipment. i ordered the Kshatriya as well as 5 of those Machine Nest.

prime92 is a woman though, not a guy^^
personally i prefer the dry transfer decals but like i said, there is always the risk of screwing it up :P

really? i have no idea!!! i didn't see all her review, but those i see so far seem to me she have a man voice, lol and another one seem like a guy, since she was reviewing a PG grade TT kit, which she have to switch place to do it.
but doesn't really matter, it's always good to know there's women out there who like Gundam just as much as us

in her "super epic something special" in which she unboxes her 1/144 dendrobium you can see her better^^
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjVFp_tbDq4
i actually think she looks pretty badass XD
it was a surprise for me, too... a good looking woman who makes gundam reviews on youtube... i dig that a lot! XD
but i guess you thought she was a guy because her microphone isnt very good or doesnt pick up her voice all that well.

Zero Hurricane 2011-08-12 02:01

i ordered it from HLJ :P fedex just delivered it to me^^

i just finished lining and top coating all the parts. and they look amazing! :O this kit will look so awesome^^
i simply top coated all armor pieces and painted the rifle with tamiya gun metal.

this kit really doesnt come with a lot of parts though!

i was thinking to get that Gun Metal paint as well, i keep on wonder how good will that be.

so this kit doesn't have much part? i was under the impression that it will have as much part as Zeta 2.0.

gunmetal is awesome! it really makes the weapons pop, its way better than bandais generic grey for weapons^^

i also just finished the kit.
gotta give bandai credit, they really managed to make that kit feel really old XP it looks good though!
http://www.abload.de/img/foto09075rss.jpg

the kit feels REALLY lose though, especially in the legs. the legs have those old hip joints which are just a balljoint in a polycap. because of that you cant bend them very high up and they are very lose.
the feet also suck. they are pretty long but only the the front, the heels are almost directly under the ankles. because of that the center of gravity of the whole kit seems to be behind the feet so its very backheavy and tends to fall backwards, even though it doesnt have a real backpack but only 2 sets of wings on its back...

i will probably buy an action base for this guy afterall. because of the loose joints im afraid that he might be a good candidate for my very first shelf jumper! XD

duotiga 2011-08-12 09:29

joint loose is a common issue for transforming mg kit (zeta 2.0 also have this issue), is either MS mode or stick to MA mode

doesnt surprise me that the zeta 2.0 is loose, too. the delta plus seems to be based on it :P it came with the zeta 2.0s polycap runner for example^^

edit: also i thought the legs and the rifle looked a little bland so i added some color with my metallic markers :P

http://www.abload.de/img/foto0909hfsn.jpg

i used edding silver, copper and gold markers, chrome and tamiya clear red spray paint and a gloss top coat for that.

About the MG's Delta Plus blue parts, are they kinda just normal blue (Like navy blue) or a really dark kinda of blue? I've been looking at different pictures but I couldn't never really say for sure.

according to the translation of the HG colorguide (which has the same blue as the MG) its a mix of 60% indy blue, 35% red and 5% grey. i hope thats in-depth enough for ya ;D
the colors looks like a dark flat navy blue, thats how i would describe it :P

edit:
for those who are interested, here is the review of the delta plus on gaijin-gunpla: http://www.gaijin-gunpla.com/mg-delta-plus-review-55-7/

everything he said happened to me, too :P especially that issue with the rifle: it was able to hold it ONCE and now that i tried it again its like the peg in the hand isnt even there.

i hate when that happen..... i guess i could wait a bit to get this kit. it was one of those on my list, now i guess will get it only if i have the extra money. :heh:

yeah... the design is great but the articulation sucks pretty badly. if i had known that i wouldnt have bought this kit right away. but i didnt want it to be out of stock for months again, too so i got it right away without waiting for reviews.
but im glad that i didnt read syd's review before builing it! then i would have been disappointed before i would have even started building it XD
but syd is right, a 4000yen model should not have such severe problems like not being able to stand properly :P

yeah, for that price i would whether get myself another one of following:

http://www.gundamplanet.com/gundam/m...a-plus-c1.html
or this
http://www.gundamplanet.com/gundam/m...a-plus-a1.html

both are pretty much the same as Delta Plus, since they are all base on Zeta to start with, but i did have those 2 already, and i could tell you this, they are pretty sturdy, definitely could stand on it own:heh:

i just love the sleek design and the simple colors XD thats why i really hoped this would be a great kit.
all in all id still say its a good kit though! the only thing that sucks are the feet. everything else is great! but bad feet still means that the model cant stand on its own and without a base that can be a dealbreaker :P
the most awesome thing about this kit is probably the head though. it look simply AWESOME! you actually put a clear piece over the eye sticker that has the shape of the eye carved into it which creates a REALLY cool effect^^ id love to show you a photo of that but my camera sucks too hard :P

Lime soda 2011-08-12 13:54

This is probably the only kit I was looking forward to this year, so I'll probably try to get one. I'm okay with the choice of colors they went with in this kit but I was hoping for something more like the cool dark grey/dark midnight blue they had with the prototype one in that hobby show. That color choice actually matched the one I saw from that magazine scan of the Delta Plus.

I'm disappointed they didn't include more weapons. A unique mobile suit should have a unique weapon too. There was that huge rifle it had with the scope shown in that magazine page. Maybe they'll include it as a bonus in a hobby japan release.
