oohhhhh.. Does this one confirm Age-2 already? LOL! Doesn't look authentic for me.

Authentic or not, I strangely want one.

Definitely needs clear orange, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

That said, it doesn't look too bad, maybe it will look better than the normal Unicorn's frame, it's not meant to be see through, just glowing.

suiton629 2011-11-12 08:24

MG Ver Ka --> MG OVA Ver

both of those should have th clear orange psycho frame

maknaedik 2011-11-12 10:35

Okay, Age-2 confirmed and the upgrade for Genoace which is called "Adele" will also have a GB 1/100. Well, it's not confirmed whether it's an upgrade or not, but yeah, it looks like it slapped with an age-1 normal's shield.

alright! i just ordered some green glow in the dark pigments, guess for what MG model i will be using that once it gets released in december! >=D
someone on gundam-eclipse covered the inside of the blue psycho frame pieces of his HG ANA unicorn with a mix of mr. color clear and blue glow in the dark pigments, it looks freaking awesome!
http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/...A/L1010272.jpg
i so want to have that, too with my FA unicorn^^ and painting the inside of the pieces and not the outside is simply an ingenius idea... you cant scratch it off and having it glow from the inside properly looks a lot better, too!
i cant wait to experiment with those pigments a little once i get them^^

StrikeFreedomV2 2011-11-13 18:13

 That looks gorgous!

i know right?^^ i think this is a way better solution than LEDs. during the day you wouldnt use the LEDs anyway so you can let it charge up during the day :P plus, you dont need to mod anything or buy expensive batteries for the LEDs!
i think thats just the most elegant solution for this problem.
also, since i plan to coat the inside of the psycho frame pieces like in the ANA unicorn above you wouldnt even see the pigments when you look at the model during the day.

Dude, that is just.... wow.
That is just too beautiful, a word I didn't expect to use for a (model of a) giant robot.

Edit: Appel, if you succeed in making your FA Unicorn look that good (or better, since it's a MG) I WILL find you and I WILL kiss your feet :p

Looks like HGUC Juaggu is now confirmed https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net...66236911_n.jpg

Anyone an expert on topcoat? I'm building my MG Deathscythe right now and thought that it might look better with a flat coat. So I sprayed the inner frame and now the joints are completly broken. It's almost as if the topcoat melted them away. All the moving parts are have cracks or are in pieces. If anyone here could tell me what went wrong I would be truly grateful!? I used Tamiyas flat topcoat. Gonna order myself a new deathscythe for now... thank god that it is on sale right now. :/

For a Gundam series touted as the most realistic, it certainly comes up with some downright odd mobile suit designs.

GN0010 Nosferatu 2011-11-13 21:05

The Juagg always looked like the Acguy's inbred cousin.

MoonLightShadows 2011-11-13 22:27

Nice, I'm getting that jaggua. for the MG Full Armor Unicorn Gundam, is it stuck in destroy mode, or can its parts still move?

I'd be willing to bet it's just the MG Unicorn with extra sprues for the FA parts:rolleyes:

casval cehack 2011-11-14 04:08

Yeah, the same limited articulation. But it doesn't matter, the Unicorn is one of those gunplas that looks awesome just standing straight.

If they're making the Juagg, then Byalant Custom's has a chance too.

I'm pretty sure Byalant Custom will be released :) With the hype that they've been giving it and how it performed in episode 4 :)

well, tamiya has different lines of paints, for example one branch is for plastics and the other is for polycarbonates. it COULD be that you picked a top coat that has a thinner in it that damages the plastic.
for example, when i weathered my no grade 1/100 launcher strike the same thing happened to me because i used lighterfluid as a thinner for the enamel paint. as it seems lighterfluid damages the plastic that bandai uses for their models and makes it very brittle. im sure the same thing happened to you, just with a different kind of thinner.
but it would help a lot if you could tell us what exact kind of top coat you used^^

LokIdle 2011-11-14 08:43

Sure. It's this one:

http://www.google.com/products/catal...ed=0CCQQ8wIwAQ

It says TAMIYA COLOR FOR PLASTICS TS-80 FLAT CLEAR on the can.

I've used the same stuff on a number of other models (HG Kits, MG Kits) and never had that kind of problem.
