looking forward to this, I hope they won't cut out Maria centric portion today.

Oh... A-tan spoke... And it's L-O-V-E Alice-chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan's voice actor (Pandora's Alice).

Have only scanned the episode, but there is a section at the end on Maria.

I'm getting a little bit worried, to be honest. They've already done this in the earlier episodes, but they are _significantly_ altering Hina's character. I'm referring to her short fuse and her growing irritation about Hayate and her confusion over her feelings towards him. The anime version is notably sweeter and much less troubled - but also much less intense at the same time.

Hina's confused irritation is an important catalyst for later developments, so what the heck are they doing? Making her more moe?

*sorrowful sigh*

Not good in my book.

I forgot to note, but Ayumu's ice cream sure was something...

It looks like the animators forgot to draw it in one scene... But then again, it is possible that it was just hidden on her left side. Though in that case, it sure did well not to fly off or drop from the way she was positioning/moving it... :heh:

Yay, finally Izumi had actual lines and actually got to do something (kind of). Took 'em long enough. Can't wait for when they hopefully animate chapters 169-173 (if they get there).

Also, nice unexpected joke there towards the end. I think that was the only thing I laughed at this episode.

Anyone else bothered by some of the odd movements the characters make? Particularly, in this episode, around 13:00 Hayate just looks awkward.

Conclusion: Ayumu is a magician. She can make ice cream disappear and appear again. And she can conjure up a bicycle( unless you double check the show and find there was a bicycle a few steps away).

A-tan is voiced by Ayako Kawasumi and THAT is win!

She just needs a "Are you my butler?" line and life would be complete.

MUST WATCH THIS ONE!!!

I didn't watch a single episode of 2nd season yet but I will watch this episode for A-tan, even if her scene may be less than 10 seconds.

A-tan is charming.Maria and Hinagi are both attractive.
I think I like three of them :D

Haha. That reminds me. Athena also uses a sword. Maybe we just need some Gyaboo!

Too bad that the game is too obscure for the 90s generation.

Damn, awesome episode. Centres on my 3 favourite girls, A-tan, Hina, and Maria. ^_^

But FFFFFFFFF yeah, A-tan spoke! By Ayako no less! And she was actually drawn properly this time! Damn, I'm so pumped lol.

In anycase, it seems they really did retconned the latter half of season 1, as Hayate explained the same reason of the way of his thinking (aka. A-tan's 'lessons') in one of the later episodes then.

Wow, so much happened this episode. I was very impressed by how much they got in for one episode.

So there is an introduction of this A-tan character. I bet she will play a major role in the not too distant future, considering her introduction like this. I wonder what her character will be like? So far, she seems like a demanding ojou-san, but on the other hand, it could be that she is very focused on making Hayate a better person.

Ayumu's past is revealed, and it is the generic a hero saves my day and I am now in love with him. Not a bad thing, but I guess more along the lines of her "normalness". She does get her hopes up when she found out Hayate's motives, so I'm happy for her.

Hinagiku... just gotta love her. Her lines and screen time were little this episode, but she is the focus (getting her the birthday gift). I wonder what her gift will be? I am hoping it is something amazing, considering he bought other people gifts as well just to buy gifts.

Maria is just all around cute. That hug scene with Hayate... He is getting a lot of love. Also, her past is revealed as well. It is kind of sad for such an amazing person. Also, I am looking forward to what type of birthday present he is going to give her (although, I doubt it will come to that this season). He promised something amazing, so let's hope he can deliver.

Overall, this was just an awesome episode with so much put into it. A lot of story and character development.

@A-tan. It will be a distant future. Readers of the manga actually have to wait for about 2 years for her to show up again.

@Ayumu. I lol'd at the "normalness". It is somehow a gag that fits Ayumu just fine.

@Hinagiku. I assure you.

@Maria. Maria is made of win.
