Well, I read the first 2 chapters of this new manga (based on the light novels), and I have to say, I like this a lot.

Well, the plot circles around two people - one of them being Ryuji, who's a gentle person and wants to be close to other people, but he has an outer appearance (namely his eyes - which are almost intimidating in themselves) that makes him look like a deliquent that might be violent. So, he's trying to look his best for high school, and then he bumps into "the school's most dangerous animal of the highest risk level" — Taiga Aisaka — who just happens to also be in his class. Problems arise from them both living near each other, and him becoming her manservant. This, of course, starts rumors, and that's the beginning of the story.

Anyway, I've only seen chapters 1 and 2 of this actually translated, although I'm pretty sure there are at least 6 chapters out for this manga. I really want someone to start translating. Taiga also reminds me of Louise, except a little less violent, and I love Louise for everything except the violence in the first place, so Taiga appeals to me massively (tsundere love). Her character design is also fantastic.

also I have a question - why, oh why aren't there more people paying attention to this? It looks like it will be one of the best mangas of '08.

This series is ok. It not like it's great, but it's entertaining. Art can improve, there were a few published pages that were actual drafts, cause the mangaka was sick.

The male lead discription reminds me of the lead male character to Kirin/Chibi Vampire.

The boy's light novel series Toradora! will be getting animated :D

I just finished reading this first chapter and this looks like being good fun, looking forward to the anime and I hope more chapters are translated.

Um a manga or novel um also is this scanlated and translated???

It's both, this thread is for the manga and only chapter 1 is scanlated I believe,

I was a bit confuse with the part where it shows a pic of Ryuji's mom and dad right? The translation has the mom saying "You so similiar to Grandma" which doesn't make sense to me guess she actually said " You look similiar to your dad" because we see a pic of Ryuji's mom and some dude touching her breast and she looks pregnant. The scanlation was rather iffy hope someone else scanlates the first chapter.

Only 2 chapters out??? Might as well wait for the anime to come out, but if that sucks ill give this a try!

hmm....wasn't much keen, seem predictable.

anime version might be disappointing. only have to watch the ZnT anime.

then read the light novel. no comparision.

anime was just pooooor.


but hey, perhaps the anime will peak some interest in the light novel?

I liked the second chapter a lot more than the first, lol @ Taiga going into the stance for the Gatotsu.

These are two different topics though and should be kept seperate. This is for the manga, and the one you're linking to is the light novel. Not all manga follow the light novels either, so mixing thme could cause spoiler problems aswell as consistency problems

Though this manga does follow the novel, almost perfectly (at least volume 1 does).
