I'm interested in getting a MG Zeta Gundam Version 2 so I wonder how's the transform system? And does it cause the figure to have a weak structure?

The Virtue Gundam is suppose to have "secrets", so Sunrise may be delaying its release as a kit until the Gundam actually used most of its hidden equipment on broadcast TV.

Master Grade Destiny Special edition boxart

Is that 'extreme burst' something written below destiny? Much more attractive than strike freedom's full burst boxart.

More details on about the 1/100 Exia gundam have been publish on Pam's Hompage

Also there is prototype 1/100 Dynames

@ Vallen Chaos Valient:

Virtue is slated for December release though. And of course, it'll logically have to follow after Dynames and Kyrios, since it is GN-005 :heh:

@ subaruhess:

Should be noted that you can't hotlink to pam.jp unfortunately :heh:

Pictures of interest from there though:

Is the special MG Destiny a limited run thing again? it better not be!

Oh, I remember seeing that they are gonna release 1/60 for the Gundams 00s...any news on that anyone?

duotiga 2007-10-11 08:19

this is getting better n better :D

subaruhess 2007-10-11 08:36

Edited the links, should work now. The special edition destiny wont be limited like first production runs.

I have it. The only big problem is that the wing struts, which require rotations and folding when transforming, seem a bit too stiff. I accidentally damaged them so I've never transformed the Zeta more than once. Otherwise, the overall structure seems reasonably strong.

Well the box art of the 1/100 Exia looks good, will get it (al the GN Suits) and eventually the MG offcourse (1,5 year later ;)

LightningZERO 2007-10-11 11:36

I don't really enjoy the 1/100 box art. Like Seed, I think thr 1/144 box art is a lot better

Although MG is the best

dagr81 2007-10-11 15:59

the only gundam there that has me all hiper is MG Unicorn

duotiga 2007-10-11 18:24

Aparantly...the red parts for Unicorn Gundam are clear

frm Hobby Shop Midori

dagr81 2007-10-11 19:53

the onely thing that would make this kit look even better is if there was a button to change to the modes

Fafnir 2007-10-11 23:13

Damn... I thought that I was going to buy Turn A soon, and that would be my last model, but damn... Unicorn just looks too cool...

LightningZERO 2007-10-12 00:10

Does Unicorn's head support transformation? If it is, I'm worry of its fragility...

aikming 2007-10-12 00:34

the MG Unicorn looks cool and each part can be slided for the internal appearance. Maybe Bandai can make a "lightning" version in the future so that the internal would glow with red beam.

Does anyone here buys HCM Pro? Are they worth getting, and are they quite detailed?

Thanks, but is that a trustworthy site? I've read some bad stuff about how people never receive their products, or that the shipping is messed up. I'm always kind of cautious about buying overseas.

beamknight87 2007-10-13 15:58

I just bought the HG 1/100 Infinite Justice Gundam... but it is too much pink for my liking -_-, guess I will have to customize it a little bit...

Question about an Ebay auction

Hi, I'm new obviously and I've just recently began to gain interest in Gundam. I've seen some of the model kits and have been very impressed so i thought maybe I would start collecting them. I came across one that looks awesome on Ebay and was wondering what you all think. Is it a good model kit? About how much should I expect to pay for it. Since I'm new to this I have no idea where values stand. I picked up some of the action figures but these model kits look really detailed and cool. Any advice for a noob would be greatly appreciated. Here is a link to the one I really like.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MESE:IT&ih=006

LynnieS 2007-10-13 23:25

Looking at Amazon's site, a seller there is offering this kit for US$15.99 excluding shipping. I don't have this exact HG kit, but wasn't too impressed with the quality with the earlier HG 1/144 "Gundam W" models. Parts didn't stay on when posed and so on. It's a fairly intro level model kit and good for practice, IMHO.

This EBay seller, though, is charging a lot for shipping, I think. US$7.50 is a lot for what should just be a pretty light and small box. If I was bidding on this kit, I would not go higher than 3 dollars. It has been a long time since I last bid on EBay, but if there are fees for buyers, you might be better off getting it from Amazon instead.

Personal opinions, of course. :)

madrock 2007-10-13 23:47

OK, thank you.

"Currently no news on Zeta related MG. The message Bandai sent to the market so far is that 2008 will be the year of CCA, Unicorn and Gundam 00 (mostly the latter two, with the former being a prequel). Seed looks like more likely to become a "filler" candidate for MG than Zeta. If Bandai wants to throw us a twist, I think X or V/V2 would also be likely candidate too."

Depend on how big the shop and the average quantity of customers, I guess.

If the small shop where I work part time on Sundays, sells a dozen of one model kit in 4 days, we would cosider it a good product. Problem is, many fans are still sitting on the fence as far as their acceptance of 00 is concerned. At least one person I know is loving the 00 grunts, and promise to buy severl Tierens because he wants an army (this is before the show even aired). But the same person wasn't very interested in buying Exia until after episode 2.

Yesmilord 2007-10-14 14:59

Hey I'm sorry if this is the inappropriate place to post this, but there's no rules on this thread so I'll just go ahead. Feel free to delete this if it goes against policy.

I have an unopened Strike Gundam PG I'm trying to get rid of for cheap. If anyone is interested, please send me a PM or email. No scams or gimmicks. This thing has been sitting in my room for way too long, and I never gathered the motivation to build it.

Cheers.

srb 2007-10-15 00:40

HG 00 box art is too little like HGUC and HG SEED box art. More awesome, less... that, please!

Add me to the "I want an army of Tierens" list.

Now I just need the time to build models inbetween being doped up on happy pills and attending school.

I am preparing to build myself a couple 1/100 Exia(s) with MG manipulators once its out tho (articulation for exia is somewhat similar to that of MGs... bugger). And if Tierens comes out in 1/100, then its another story I guess.

beamknight87 2007-10-15 18:40

I finished constructing all the parts of the HG Infinite Justice (after painting it metallic red of course -_-) and holy crap, the backpack weights a ton...

Anyway, I will start with the inking but this is something that is bugging me:
Are the Tamiya acrylic paints enough to be applied right on the surface of the model kit since I want to paint it instead of putting on the stickers for the details? Or do I need to put first the coat of some other material before attemping to do the painting?

Well, that pretty good lol. I remember seeing a picture with stacks of 1/100 destiny and strike freedom on discount from the same store.(Not too long ago after the release date of strike freedom). I guess some other people are just waiting for the 1/100 Exia because personally, I am.

Fafnir 2007-10-15 21:05

I love the design of the Gundams and grunts in 00. Much more militaristic and simple then SEED and Wing.

I especially like the Dynames and the Union Flag. Exia is no slouch either. Hopefully we get MGs of all three. Although we'll probably only see an MG of Exia, the replacement Gundam(if there is one at all, hopefully not, I'd perfer it if they don't stick with that AU cliche), and the main villian MS.

It might be a good idea to use a primer or at least wash the parts thoroughly before painting. I didn't do either on some no grade 1/144s and the paint wouldn't hold, so I ended up using multiple coats which is just a waste of time and money. I later washed and primed and the results were much better. That's my experience though.
