How do you get a poster out of a magazine? ^_^;;

Just wondering...since I have a poster here that's connected to the magazine...so how do you usually get it out without destroying it? :heh:

Usually I just remove the staples carefully and since I have a stapler re-staple it after I get the posters out. If not the poster will tear, and most of the time you don't really re-read the magazine and it's not worth anything so just remove the staples.

aw man...what if it's binded to a book that has no staples, like a artbook?

You could try using an stiletto to cut the poster on the basis, where it attaches to the book. But a really sharp one, otherwise you have the chance of ripping the paper a bit.

If it's glued or binded then your best bet is to secure it first then cut it with a box cutter or a exact-o knife these tools are very thin and sharp and work best on paper. The thing to remember is to secure the book/magazine down or have some one hold it very still before you make the cut.

Ooo I see. Thanks a lot ppl

I go through the monthly ritual of cutting posters from my Megami magazines and it involved an sharp X-acto knife and a lot of tiny pin-pokes. Once it's a tad loose I slice from one pokehole to the next. So far I've only ruined one poster, but I suffer from a nervous tremor so a normal person would have a 100% success ratio.

Tho here's the clincher. The posters in that magazine have a grey void area at the top of them which is safe to cut. Does this poster you're targeting have some sort of "Safe zone"

And if you don't mind me asking, what is it? I don't mean to be nosey. I just like posters:)

One of them is from a japanese newtype, another is from my Gundam Seed Destiny artbook. I have the May Megami issue coming in today so I guess I'll follow your guidelines. Thanks alot :D
