Tritoch, is that Blitz yours? If so, REALLY go(o)d job man.
BTW: Strike Freedom looks pretty cool actually.

AnimePaul 2006-11-19 16:18

Does anyone know if MG 1/100 Wing Gundam Ver. Ka have a stand included?

No stand included.

Shinji103 2006-11-19 17:31

Nvm, beaten to it.

Is there any 'best' Gundam markers out there?
Is one set particularly better than the other? How about these : http://www.hlj.com/product/GNZGMS114 ?

Is there a better set with more colours?

Also saw this : http://www.hlj.com/product/GNZGM01
Is this the best panel liner out there or can I just use any thin marker? I was just wondering if they just look extra good if specific Gundam markers are used rather than just any home brand.

tritoch 2006-11-20 02:41

You can try Sharpie.

Gevurah 2006-11-20 02:48

LOL, that grey Z+ C1 is almost exactly like the color scheme of the one I'm almost finished with right now. XD

I have the GNZGMS and I dont find it particularly good. I used that for colouring my HG wing zero custom and I need to apply several coats (for example yellow on blue plastic). I didnt use it for my MG kits. All i use is the black marker but I would suggest you find the finest gundam/other marker since the black marker from GNZGMS is not fine enough.

No wonder Strike Freedom is so expensive.. look at the insane details it has. It's the first time I've seen an internal frame in the shoulders, and the main thrusters look surprisingly detailed also. Looks like this won't just be a cheap "upgrade" of the original MG Freedom.

Now if they would only show us some of the Special Option parts..

And the blue-white is the GFF colour scheme.

MagikalFly 2006-11-20 21:02

Does anyone know if any modder or anything has put the shoulder cannons from Strike onto the Strike Freedom? Sure 5 guns are nice on SF but adding 2 more..c'mon more guns = better. If no one has, I might need to get a few kits and start bashing.

SNT1 2006-11-20 23:47

take a closer look - seems like the hip joint -- seems like ABS. Pretty fair chance that the construction is mostly ABS-jointed as well.

And the CoreWorks version still looks better in hiMAT.... but this one looks good on its own.

I take what I said back---upon further inspection, IMO Bandai SF > CoreWorks SF :D

Am I the only individual who finds the golden colors on Strike Freedom's joints extremely annoying?! GAH!

Huh? SF has 13 guns, IIRC.

Unless you mean including the two Baleana Plasma Cannons that the stock Freedom Gundam had in its wings, to add on Strike Freedom itself to total 15 guns on SF, then that would've been cool, but I've never seen any kitbash like that before.

MG Hi-ν Gundam
Sometime next Spring, Bandai will release MG Hi-ν Gundam. Instead of Hajime Katoki, Yutaka Izubuchi will be behind this MG release.

In a related note MG wise, Mg Crossbone X-1 Kai Full Cross will come out on Jan. It will come with peacock smasher and murasame blaster weapons.

So, the MG Nu gundam really did need a Ver 2, and I guess this will do. Although, I like the old one, but it didn't have rotatable legs :(

Well, hopefully this one will have rotatable legs. That said maybe some time when ipod encoding becomes nice to me I show you all nice picture of my interesting big collection of Gunpla, ja? :)

Traks 2006-11-21 09:30

I wonder what color scheme Bandai will choose to use for the Hi-Nu?

kct 2006-11-21 09:34

Holy Crap.

By the looks of it they will go for the purplish/bluish colour scheme.

MakubeX2 2006-11-21 10:23

SEEDlings. Perish all thoughts about getting the MG Strike Freedom

Eat your heartout at the MG Hi-Nu. The original idea behind the SF.

DarkWarrior 2006-11-21 11:07

Wow, I've been waiting forever for a MG Hi-Nu... :D However the lineart looks quite different from all the usual Hi-Nu pictures I've seen. It's going to be pretty interesting to see how it turns out with the Yutaka Izubuchi instead of Katoki behind this release.

And the next MG is a Crossbone recolor right? :( Was sort of hoping for a MG Destiny. But with the MG Hi-Nu coming out in the spring, that kills my theory that it was supposed to be the 100th MG that comes out in the summer. Ah speculations, speculations.. :heh:

Meehlimo 2006-11-21 11:38

What are hi nus orgianl colors? blue and white right?

SNT1 2006-11-21 11:50

Alrite! they just planned a Strike Freedom-beater! :heh:

and when you have a Hi-Nu, you gotta have a Nightengale!

What? A mass production Hi-Nu? Should it be called Thin-Nu?

Meehlimo 2006-11-21 13:09

Damn for ppl who dont paint the shades on the funnels will be a bitch.

If you are wondering why the redesign of the Hi-Nu, Bandai got the original Mech Designer, Yutaka Izubuchi to do the Model Design. He went on to create RahXephon later and I can see shades of RahXephon on the MG Kit with the slender body, the pull up Fin Funnel rack and the enlarge Goatee.

It's not too bad, considering how the Hi-Nu used to look in the novel illustration :-

DarkWarrior 2006-11-21 21:47

Someone posted a comparison picture over at Gamefaqs, and I don't like what I see...

http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/3210/hinumgbr4.png

Damn, this isn't looking good. :eyebrow: I can definitely understand why some people aren't too pleased with this lineart.

MakubeX2 2006-11-22 00:01

Seriously, it had been 15 years since the release of CCA, of course Izubuchi is going to change his style for better or worse. Seeing that RahXephon is where he last design mechs, it going to influence his design on the model.

kct 2006-11-22 00:05

Like, time to give it a major update for the new generation >.> .

SNT1 2006-11-22 00:20

I dunno, the new lineart is cute.

"cute" is not what you want to describe the Hi-Nu.

Its a long time til the prototypes/model shows up, so theres still room for change
