So, according to the review at that one japanese blog, how did the person like the MG Destiny? Can anyone translate it?

ShinGundam 2007-10-27 08:32

SAVED!!!!!!!

Yup, it'll be a CRIME for me NOT to get the SE!!!!!

LightningZERO 2007-10-27 10:54

I guess I'm a criminal now :D

beamknight87 2007-10-27 12:21

agghhh, why does Bandai even bother making TWO editions of Destiny? It's obvious everybody will go for the special Extreme Burst version...

I think I would go crazy in a gunpla store jojojo seeing that much models ^^

philmein 2007-10-27 13:50

My Destiny SE came this morning.
Boo yah.
Now, I'm going to have to wait until my finals in college is over before I can start building.

Critias 2007-10-27 15:36

I still think they should've just put in a light of some kind in Destiny's hands. The palm effects in the special edition puts me off completely (along with boomerang ones), but WOL is too good to pass up. But is it worth the price tag? ><

bump i hope someone can help me with this
any kind of feedback is good

Tak 2007-10-27 23:39

Except you are also paying almost $20 additional for the 'special wing of light' effect on the Destiny.

Just for that alone? Nay, it hardly justifies why I should blow an even bigger hole on my wallet.

- Tak (And I really have no desire to get an additional Shin & Stellar figure. Besides, I can't make my Strike Freedom look bad)

philmein 2007-10-28 03:41

It just says "Extreme Blast Mode (Special Version)"

LightningZERO 2007-10-28 04:35

I think this special edition is more worth the price compared to the Strike Freedom Full Burst. At least there's WOL, some action parts for Destiny Special Version

Destiny without blast mode is nothing but a piece of useless trash. Id definately go for the burst, but i dont think i got the fund to get it, considering there are many gundams i want out there, i havent got my MG Strike Freedom yet.

Im still waiting for an MG Infinite Justice and MG Legend.

Any news on Gundam 00 Graham Acre Flag model?

Kyrios looks good. Hope they will release a Graham Acre custom Flag soon.

subaruhess 2007-10-28 12:00

I see destiny has all its joints chrome plated, strike freedom still had the shoulder, ankle & pelvic joints in bog-standard unplated plastic.

beamknight87 2007-10-28 13:35

the MG Special Edition of the Destiny looks extremely badass, can't wait for it

My Infinite Justice that I recently completed:

subaruhess 2007-10-28 14:31

I just started painting a 1/100 infinite justice, plan to have it finished by the time my destiny master grade arrives. Progress so far: link.

hmm from the looks of it, the sword and long range cannon of MG Destiny look recycled from the HG 1/100 one. Can't tell for sure, but it looks very....non-Master Grade :(

philmein 2007-10-29 01:02

Looks like the one japanese site updated the review for MG Destiny, and I must say, I can't wait until I get to build it.

Looking at the pic, the wing mechanism seems very well done. The mechanics are quite detailed, which I'm quite happy about.

It's just you.

The designs for the MG Destiny's Anti-ship sword and cannon are clearly different from the 1/100 version's.

Hotlinks don't work :heh: Although the pics prove the point.

VMSAWRSMSZ006Z 2007-10-29 15:42

I'm far more excited about the Sazabi that they're working on right now. Seems like they're coming out with a special edition kit of some sort.

As to whether or not it's still bascially going to be the same kit as the original, I don't know. It'd be nice to have both Hi-Nu and Sazabi.

duotiga 2007-10-29 18:01

The Sazabi is just a chrome plated of the old MG Sazabi....nothing much actually....

LightningZERO 2007-10-29 18:55

With a very high price :heh:

VMSAWRSMSZ006Z 2007-10-29 19:35

Lols, the same thing can be said about most of the Model Kits they produce these days. How many version of the MG Strike are there? Zeta Gundam Ver. 2.0 with the Amuro colors. Mk II Titans and AEUG colors.

Strike Freedom and the Burst mode?

And Destiny now?

Not that I'm complaining, but is anyone else's wallet hurting like hell? :heh:

Yeah I see that now. Guess I needed to see the side-by-side comparisons

Yes, but the price of those models are not as horrendous as those of the metallic versions.

Meehlimo 2007-10-29 21:48

How did a 1/100 Impulse (the green one..can't remember its name) there? I am pretty sure they didn't release a normal "HG" 1/100 version of that.

@philmein - thanks for the translation.

Thats the GQ blast impulse (http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN931915), its a non scale Chogokin model but similar size to 1/100 gunpla from seed destiny.

beamknight87 2007-10-31 12:47

Yay! I received my Crossbone X-1 Ver. Ka. Sadly, due to the exams period, it will be until the weekend when I can start to build it >_<
