Kickass main guy ?

Hey anime fans

I was wondering if anyone knows an anime which has these requirements:

The main character should be a guy, he is very powerful got something like a hidden power. a unique power, and can kick ass ! ;)

It should be not older then 2000, only if you have a really good reason. thanks..
dont like the old animation.

I like when it has funny moments, but not all the time.. dont search a comedy.

and of cours a romance plot as well.. but not too much harem and ecchi

(sorry for beeing so exact.)

this are some anime I enjoyed and i search something similar to this:

Guilty Crown
Naruto
Death Note
Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero
Sword Art Online
Kaze no Stigma
Code Geass
Busou Renkin
Darker than Black
Deadman Wonderland
Zetman

thanks for your time...

Guilty Crown (mostly dark and serious tone to it)
To Aru Majutsu no Index (has comedy and occasional fanservice.)

Both contain main protagonists with a unique ability that wins battles and helps drive the plot forward. And both have their moments with some great looking animation and impressive visuals.

DragonBall stories
Naruto (Love Rock Lee's fights),
Bleach,
StreetFighter 2V
Death Note
Berserk
Macross, Macross 7, Macross Plus,...

Other than that, there's not much of that stuff out there around this time.

If you can stand the insane denseness of the guy, there's always Infinite Stratos

Also:
Demon King Daimou
Dog Days (though this is a bit heavy on the moe side, IMO)
I think Campione also has a strong guy, but not sure
Beezlebub is action-comedy
Basically, take your pick of certain shounen titles and you're all set

Personally, it's the "rich-man's Busou Renkin" or should I say "Busou Renkin" is the "poor-man's FMA" :p. It's a bit unfair to compare the two, but to me as far as the "alchemy" theme goes FMA is better in just about everything. Though, while the MC does have a unique ability and can still win his fights, he's not strong enough to steamroll everyone like in Kaze no Stigma you mentioned.

If you want that similar feel from Kaze no Stigma where the MC steamrolls his foes, I'd suggest you start with the aforementioned Index.

EDIT: Btw, I forgot to mention Regios.

Definitely try Hellsing or Hellsing Ultimate. By far the best Anime for "overpowering" protagonist there is! Atleast for me.

I'd recommend to watch the english dubs of Macross Plus.
Then from there on watch the rest of the series.
Macross plus is about a guy with musical talent to warm the hearts of people. Since you did not ask about fighting, I presumed any talent would go. So a singer. It's a bit more fantasy like than Beck; plays back in space, with space ships and fighter jets.

I'd agree with that. At the very least, its one of the few I've seen where the main protagonist consistently dominates so hard, that most of the bad guys he fights end up becoming afraid of him. I'm ashamed to have forgotten to mention this one. Just a heads up though--it's a bloodfest. But if you can handle deadman wonderland, you should feel right at home here.
