Hi ya...

If nobody jumps in to give you a hand with your current site, you can always find a huge number of "How to code a web site" tutorials through Google, or you can look at some free web site templates to get a few ideas.

That's a link to the Open Source Web Design site. A quote from the site:

A related site that may have a few different templates to choose from.

Personally, I like to look at what's already been done by someone before I attempt something unknown (that how I pick girlfriends as well). Google is always a good source for resources (and resauces). Hope that helps. Cheers.

http://www.w3schools.com/

A very good site where you can start learning from scratch...

Another tip: Make sure it works in browsers other than IE. Many of us do not use IE for a variety of reasons, my main one being interoperability (I run a heterogeneous network at home). Not to mention, I love all those Firefox add-ons. :)

maybe you should just make a blog instead of a site coz blogs are free and you have to pay for sites

question

in the fan creation can i request a banner for my blog?

Don't know (mod/admin thing), but I'd answer your request as long as you don't place it in the sig/avy req thread.

Just pm me if you want one, I'll try and make one I find time.

@ On-Topic

http://htmldog.com/ s' good..

If you need some random content - http://www.lipsum.com/
CSS stuff - http://css.maxdesign.com.au/index.htm

If something don' work, try validating it..
http://validator.w3.org/
http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/

It's best to test your page in a standard compliant browser, like Opera (ok xml suport is pretty shity @_@.. but it's good for the rest) Then when it don' work proceed to the friendly hack-job-info-site.. (generally IE is hack-friendly and hack-demanding)

Site about bugs - http://www.positioniseverything.net/

Well with a little extra effort you can make your pages valid XHTML strict etcetera..
BTW if you wanna to test techniques like AJAX or server-side scripts like PHP install WAMP Server

---
WAMP n00b info..
In the wamp directory there is a "WWW" directory. Create a folder there for each of your projects, then place your .html .js .css .php etcetra files there.

The server works offline (only you can see your pages), in your browser enter 127.0.0.1 or localhost to acces them.
