AQUAPAZZA; AQUAPLUS Dream Match (PS3)

AquaPazza: AquaPlus Dream Match is a 2D Fighting game, developed by Examu (Arcana Heart devs) using the characters of Aquaplus's Visual Novels (To Heart, Tears to Tiara, etc) and published by Aquaplus.

i like this game; a Lot.

it has made me realize just how much i've missed out on,
not keeping up with the AQUAPLUS series that have made it thus far to the U.S.
the style and chara design here make me feel generally good
in ways that Anime has rather failed to do for years now.

the characters in this game are genuinely adorable and attractive
in ways seemingly completely lost to modern, current Anime tropes and ideals, IMHO.

indeed, the chara's appealing nature shines even in their in-game sprites,
and, as someone who been witness to most of the classic 2D Fighters firsthand,
to see characters captured so precisely in such form is rather uncommon.
they did about as perfect a job here, IMHO, as honestly can be done,
which is to say, pretty much perfect.

all said, however, i think this game is best taken as a Moe lollipop
than as a "Serious" 2D fighter. most of the time, you can
quickly overcome any opponent by pressing stick in their general direction
and button mashing. A-OK for people like myself, but probably a deal-breaker
for most serious Fighter fans. then again, i don't really see a game like this
appealing much to a "Serious" 2D fighter lover anyway, so whatever.

anyhow, i recommend this title. i recommend it to anyone okay with going in
expecting a genuinely appealing, sumptuous little $30.00 Moe confection
and not the 2D fighter challenge of their macho-gaming life.
granted, i have not attempted this game in higher than lowest difficulty setting,
and i don't honestly care to, -being quite secure in my personal manhood and all-
but somehow i doubt this game's maximum difficulty would provide
a serious challenge to the experienced 2D fighter vet. if anyone knows differently,
do feel free to chime in. meanwhile, i'll continue to recommend this little gem
on the strength of it's smashingly appealing chara sprites, if nothing else...

Are there bonus galleries you can unlock of the fighters and their partners that help out in fights?

Tasuke Shichiri 2013-12-17 13:05

yep. i currently have mine about 85% completed now...

Is there multiple pictures of (each of) the following characters: Karura, Touka, and Dorii and Guraa?

I don't know, the only thing I can say, the final boss is a "cheater".
