All of my yes.

Very nice :)!

Of course I did enjoy what we got, but a full blown series would be very much "yes" for me.

Excellent!

I loved both shorts, so a full series is definitely something I'm looking forward to

Bring it on, I say! ^^

I thought it was just Amazon Prime that was simulcasting subbed anime (ie: Kabaneri), and they did a pretty good job. What did Netflix have last season?

Kuromukoro and Magi: Sinbad. The problem is that Netflix streams their series in English at once but only after they finished airing.

Ah, well. That's at least better than any of the licensors did before the advent of official streams. Used to have to wait months, usually until after the series had finished coming out on disc in Japan, before getting "new" anime officially, and we still found a way to get it subbed "immediately" online. Likely they do it so that people won't rip their eventual streams, but they'll figure out before too long that first run simulcasts will get them a lot more traffic than the later random searches, and they'll come around.

So it looks like they're retelling the story right from the beginning then? Nice! I always felt like the original OVA would be amazing if expanded :)

Requiem-x 2016-10-11 18:18

Having (finally) watched the two shorts, I'm officially hyped for this one. Besides the animation, the world holds more than enough potential for a whole series and the characters are very likable. Looking forward to it.

So we're going back to the very beginning, huh? That's a relief, the original short felt so complete I was afraid we'd be getting something very similar.

On that note, Atsuko already has the rod before reaching the school. Nice.
