"The official website of publisher Akita Shoten announced on Monday that Masami Kurumada's second mini-series "season" for his Saint Seiya Episode Zero manga will be titled "Saint Seiya Origin," and it will have two chapters that will debut in the February and March 2019 issues of Akita Shoten's Champion RED magazine on December 19 and January 19, respectively. The debut chapter will feature on the issue's front cover, and will have a color opening page."

Satisfying first episode. I'm just glad Toshihiko Sahashi is back doing another score for a Saint Seiya show. His music is perfect for this franchise.

From what I get, they are ONAs (original net animation) and since the manga is still ongoing, Gonzo and Toei will take their time to release new episodes.

The crunchyroll news post that mentioned about the streaming also stats that there shall be new episodes every Monday so at least we have a structured release schedule.

As a fan since my childhood in the 90s, I enjoyed the first episode a lot. Except the awful still scenes, those need to go.

In an amusing turn of events, because of the recent trailer for the Netflix series and the controversy it cause, a lot of Saint Seiya fans are showing the Saintia Sho anime with praise. :heh:

This series was mainly made for streaming, and will be out in Japan on both Amazon and Ps4's Animax, debuting on TV japanese only in January.

Netflix is doing something lazy and cowardly, just trying to keep an agenda. Already this other series is really trying something different.

ok after watch this first episde i'm feeling a little better after the crap of "crapflix" destroying old series" trailer.

what make me even more anger is the fact which kuramada only care for "money" and allow western do crap with his work because of "money" and all he need to do later is say "its not cannon" if the rage was too big and act like nothing had happened, really shame on him.

well going to this first episode i really enjoyed and it give me the old saint vibe, my only concerns is the "timeline which i'm a little confuse here.

this serie happens before the tournament (before saori being revealed in being athena)?? or after it, if after, at what time frame??? before the 12 houses?? after it and before hades???, i really hope they explain why that girls didn't appear or even was talked about in the original other than just the "secret", because really don't make sense they being the "elite personal guard" or athena and they not with her when she most needed even if they where the most weak ones, i do hope we get a good retcon here or while the serie overal is fun will be a really weird big plot hole here.

I think it says that is after the sactuary and before poseidon.
