Not understanding Japanese the most I got out of this was that the protagonist is surprisingly a female and her name is "Kaede Amamatsu". Honestly never expected that at all.

Also we finally get to see all of the character designs and the improved visuals thanks to the hardware upgrade.~

How do you know she's an android? She looks pretty normal to me. I think you may be talking about the wrong character.

And I can't say she looks anything like Komaru. She resembles Sonia the most if you ask me.

Yeah, I was thinking the android/cyborg was the protagonist, but it's apparently not. I didn't watch the new video so I just assumed; that was my mistake. That's a weird misdirection, since that character was highlighted in previous teasers.

ALL hail the Ahoge!!! this time main lead girl is voiced by the Junko in Danganronpa 1 +2/the stage and the singer of DR3 ending song. xD

Megumi Toyoguchi, really? Oh gosh, now I'm worried somehow she's going to be Junko for some BS reason.

No, Sayaka Kanda, she played the stage Junko.

I presume the reason the Trial stands are now floating mechanisms is so the trial room isn't filled with those banners of dead people near the end of the game. they were cute and all but really didn't add much, it would be more fitting if monokuma put them in places they frequented in Daily life mode.

Also it looks like the game will still have the moment in the prologue where you have to go around and talk to every character...greeeaat, I guess it'll be more interesting with the knowledge that everyone is supposedly an inmate/delinquent but I don't expect everyone to reveal their past crimes to a guy you just met, let alone band together in a killing game when they couldn't get along with people outside.
That said; are we even going to have a voice of reason character in here? since everyone conducted themselves unreasonably in the past to get them here(would help me buy into the idea that everyone except 3-4 people are dumb in these games), so yeah I find this premise very interesting i.e. if we get to see how repeat offenders would try to use their past experiences to cover their tracks or how no one would reasonably trust inmates to not kill one another. unlike D2 which had a lot of retreading from the past game, there is a lot of potential to push the premise forward rather than refine. it's reworking verses reinventing thing and i'm not trying to take a jab at DR2 here

Anyone else think we are dealing with another protagonist amnesiac, every line she says in and out of text is a question and much like Makoto and Naegi who were black sheep in their class this protagonist doesn't exclude the same intimidating aura the other characters do, characters who do fit the bill of offenders. That and she seems normal as fuck like every other protagonist.

Now, who should I ship Kaede with........Rantaro ? Shuichi? Maki?

Kinda hard to tell it looks like they suddenly stopped doing left -> right there as the tennis player comes right after the detective.

Shuuichi is the guy with the baseball cap, Ryouma is the short guy with the pointed hat, Rantaro is the blond fellow with the blue t-shirt.

Are you sure about that? he doesn't really look like your typical tennis player... I eman the net is higher than him oO
