A question about Gundam Destiny
 

Ok i'm new to the series, but can anyone tell me who are orb? And who were the 2 sides fighting at the beginning of gundam destiny episode 1 when his family died. I mean shin seems to be really pissed off at orb. are they the same guys at ZAFT and the Plant?

Orb is a neutral country where Coordinators and Naturals Co-exist peacefully.


We don't exactly know what sides are going to be in the fight this time.

Orb, although neutral, exports mobile suit technology to both sides secretively and builds an army itself. It is a pretty darn rich country for having its own space colony and mass driver despite being just a small island on earth. The Earth Alliance attacked Orb mainly because Orb refused to lend them its mass driver (the catapult thing that sends ships into space) because at the time all of the mass drivers on earth were either in ZAFT possession or destroyed...but I'm pretty sure EA wanted to get a hold of Orb mobile suit technology as well.

So is shinn from orb? and why si he pissed at arthuna nd the princess.
And where do the princess and arthun come from?

What do you think. And didn't Gilbert confirm that by saying Shinn is an immigrant from Orb? -___-;;

Shinn is pissed that Orb sacrificed the lives of many of its people in order to uphold its noble ideals...he's basically blaming Cagalli because her father was pretty much the one who refused to give in to EA's demands.

Orb. Cagalli Yula Atha is the famous daughter of the previous Orb chief representative, and Athrun Zala is the famous son of the previous ZAFT chairman.

So now there's no more Zaft?
Only EA and Orb?

Zaft is still there. Shinn is now a pilot for Zaft. I guess he went to ZAFT territory along with the other Orb refugees and decided to join them cause he was upset with Orb's leadership. The Minerva, and its MSs, and crew and pilots are all with ZAFT.



BTW ZAFT is PLANT's military if you didn't already know.

It would be more helpful if you watched the first Gundam SEED series before starting with Destiny, or some impatient people would, no offence, really think you're messing with them. Here's a episode-by-episode synopsis to avoid making yourself look like an idiot to them.

Ok i really appretiate the help guys but one last question. So shinn is now with Zaft but who are the earth aliance (EA) Are they the ones that Kira fought with?
So now there's:
orb (Princess and arthun)
Zaft (Shinn)
EA (Kira)
And who are the ones that stole the mobile suits in destiny?

The "good guys" in Gundam Seed were EA at first but then everyone defected to Orb when they finally realized EA was no better than ZAFT around mid-way through the story. Kira fought against ZAFT along side EA at first but then mainly fought EA near the end.

Most likely Blue Cosmos or EA-affiliated group is responsible for the hijacking in Destiny. Blue Cosmos is this extreme group that wants to wipe out ALL Coordinator and maintain genetic purity...and sadly they have quite a heavy say within the EA.

I see so there really isnt a good guys v.s bad guys thing going on. Its just a matter of conflict between sides.

Yah. Most Gundam series generally try to portray that war is never black and white. :)

In simple terms, Its a good ol' fashion mindhump.

Which makes them entertaining, because there are exciting and unexpected twists that occure in war.

Blue Cosmos Or The Panzy Coordinators?
 

First off, We all know who the right side is, The Side that Mwu died for. Secondly, Blue Cosmos are the good guys, they are = god in gundam. If your against Blue Cosmos, or think they are wrong in any way shape or form. You will be killed just like those bastards we killed on Junius Seven, Wait I mean THEY killed, I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!

this is why it is recommended to watch Seed before watching Seed Destiny.

The 3 Sides:

Radical Coordinators obssessed with becoming the new breed of humanity (Patrick Zala, Yzak's mom, others) by killing all Naturals

Blue Cosmos obssessed with Genetic Purity (To a Blue and Clean World) by killing all Coordinators

ORB trying to make everyone give up on Military technology while building up their own huge army. (And they try to be "Neutral", either you're all friends, or all enemies) by overpowering everyone so they can't create conflict

Oh my goodness. I think you must watch SEED before watching SEED Destinylike someone recommend. It will be great if you watch other Gundam series as well. All the questions you ask are stupid.

I wanna know somthing first of all as the gundam destiny started there was no sign of Kira Yamato in it, what happened did I miss somthing here?

no you haven't missed anything... or maybe you have missed the OP, ED and the intermission animations :p
