Program that makes subtitle
Does anyone know of a program used to make subtitles on various mpegs, avi etc? I just wanted to know, and wanted to try myself =)
Thanks |
If you mean creating your own subtitles file, then Subtitle Workshop.
If you mean putting permanent subtitles (hard-subbed), then VirtualDubMod with Subtitler filter. If you have any questions, ask. |
ok, i'll try them out =)
Edit :: Well, I'm kinda stuck now. I'm just confused on how you would apply the SSA script with VirtualDub. I understand that i need a script, which I make, and then use that script in VirtualDub..somehow..and thats about where i'm lost. Thanks |
Basically, you need to go under video -> filters -> add -> if the plugin isn't listed click 'load' and locate the plugin. Note that it's best to install/extract VirtualDub plugins into the VirtualDub plugin directory, that way it will detect and load them on program launch.
Once the plugin is loaded add it to the filter list and select the *.srt, *.ssa, etc.. file you wish to use. I would recommend the Textsub plugin that comes with VobSub over the Subtitler plugin, but both work. |
ok, thanks. I think i'm getting the hang of it.
