Episode 9: The Chaotic...Heart (kanji are for love's awakening and shuddering)
Site: Things have been awkward since that summer night for Yuuta and Rikka. Even as the school festival approaches, the two haven't been able to converse properly. It's evident Rikka finds the situation surrounding Yuuta to be strange.
Could the Wicked Eye have made Dark Flame Master submit? Rikka believes it so. But, having observed the two, Nibutani quickly notices something.

Television stations/Newtype: Each member of the Far East Black Magic Napping Society of Summer is preparing for the Maniac Feast (Sabbath). During these preparations Rikka becomes influenced by the Evil Singularity Point and enters an Irrational State. She won't fairly come into contact with Yuuta. In order to stop that, Rikka challenges Yuuta to a fight!

I'm loving the "everyone already knows what's going on" face Summer and Sidekick #1 are giving Yuuta/Rikka.

Kumin is chill as always.

SHinka will obviously make her move to de-throne Rikka and claim princess of the series.

The quality is really back up on this episode. But I haven't finished watching it... These butterflies are giving me hell finishing this episode. :eyespin:

Damn, not only is Yuuta's bedroom constantly invaded by school girls, now he has adult women popping out from under his bed. That can't be okay.

Dear me, and here I thought Rikka couldn't break my moe resistance, she completely wreck the level in this episode, it is damn scary :heh:

Anyway, for those who were waiting for some interactions between Shinka and Rikka, you will be served: albeit a bit easy to guess what would have happened with Shinka's plan (obviously foiled due to Rikka's chuuni going haywire), it was quite amusing how Rikka was breaking a fuse constantly.
Meanwhile, seeing Shinka that much was a good change, and it was amusing to see her reactions beyond her usual gyakugire.

I must say that KyoAni sure has the knack of teasing the hell out of their audience, to the point I sincerely think they are enjoying dearly those who can't handle the ship being kept at bay on purpose, and still naturally :heh: That said, this series might be the studio "first" in that kind of development :heh:
In any case, the romance blended with the chuuni comedy was good, and it had some nice touch (lots of similar details similar to latest episodes in Hyouka).

OMG that is so awesome of Touka, and very SEXY!:D

This was good, verry verry good. Not e single episode till now that i didn't like. Keep going KyoAni, this show is winderfull.

the big question is "why yuuta still hidden his ero magazines under his bed??, he not alread aware of under his bad being a regular place for crazy girls pop up and now tooka who have amazing elasticity and fighting athletic skills. she not a priestss she is a amazon. :D:D:D tooka make wonderwoman look like a nuub.

I still don't understand why Touka is capable of all those graceful gymnastic movements when she is only a cook for a living, but I would be lying if I said I didn't greatly enjoy her every movement.

Looks like she is having a lot of fun exercising in the bedroom!

I like her better with this than with her usual ladle.

It means, somehow, "insanely good chapter" or something. xD

Seriously, I really loved ALL this chapter, since the very first blush until that last intense, full of affection, hug. I laughed a lot, blushed with Rikka, smiled with the honeyed scenes, repeated the reproduction several times to apreciate the animation and the little details here and there, felt the tension with the climax... anyway.
I really can't ask nothing more. Really, this show has fulfilled amply all the things I ask in a TV anime series.
Actually, at this point I consider this as one of the best shows of the studio IMO. And of course, confirm Kyoani as one the better anime producers, one of the best composer of feelings so far.

- There has to be a teleporting device under Yuuta bed! (serious question. is there a sliding door under his bed? i remember correctly he use it on ep 1)
- At least we know how Touka get her body shape

- I like Rikka explanation & reaction to Love Sickness
- Smart Dess is Smart
- Shinka should be Feng Sui master with number of book. also Chekhov skill

- Rikka laugh is just strange and feel forced
- Golden Butterfly is very symbolic indeed

Conclusion: i like how romance handle in this anime. feel natural and not forced/over dramatic.

The ever so mighty Wicked Eye claims a victory over another lesser being! (Resistance was futile Klashikari! :heh:)

Touka was awesome (like usual~) with her entrance this episode. Yuuta is still foolish to think he could have done anything against her though...

Another good episode, the Shinka + Rikka interactions were really nice. I don't know if I should have felt bad for Shinka on all those failed plans though.
This is definitely one of the bigger teases of the season for me. I'm loving what the KyoAni staff is doing here, yet I don't know how much more I can handle. :eyespin:
