It was the Metal build thing that got to me, I mean come on what have we seen like 4 metals builds so far and he expects a crap load more from just 1 series!
I can't fathom that way of thinking:eyespin:

BTW anyone seen the colour schemes thing on GG.
Some nice designs floating about, I'm tempted to use some on some of my gundams see how they work out:p

Can't talk to someone that doesn't seem to comprehend what our message is or trying to get through.. You would have better luck talking to a brick wall.

MG Exia R2 and R3 Conversion Parts!!

Are they solid parts? If so, it's going to make that pretty back heavy. Looks really cool though.

Resin are heavier than regular plastic, so I'd say this'll add some weight. Considering how weak the ankles of MG Exia is, it'll be hard to do dynamic poses.

"Metal Build R3 to the rescue!" then :D.

Exia_00 2013-03-21 02:38

Dont think we will be getting:

MG Exia R2
MG Exia R3

So on and so forth, queue list which I wouldn't be bothered with 20 times on a page

I know all too well, how heavy Polyurethane resin is. What I'm questioning is, if those parts are hollowed inside? Otherwise, they are going to weight a ton.

at last!!!!!!!!!

Providenceangle 2013-03-21 11:43

I hate the legs(always did) but, I'm glad they are finally going to release the double bullet. Looks pretty awesome.

Anyone know how they do their prototyping? Looks like it milled out of a chunk?

LoweGear 2013-03-21 11:46

Rapid prototyping is traditionally done using 3D Printers, hence why you can see thin lines and ridges like fingerprints on prototype parts, denoting the layers that were stacked on top of each other as the piece was formed.

I figured as much, but I'm sure they do machine them as well. I already know how they make molds and such. Having worked in injection plastics before.

For the record. Anyone wondering why bandai doesn't do more colour separations in the plastics, needs to realize that, making metal molds is expensive. It can cost up to half a million dollars for a mold.(Depending on size and complexity) Even modifying a mold, can run thousands of dollars. Chrome plating, etc... The fact that the kits only cost as much as they do, is surprising.

Edit: Slowly working on modding my HGs to run leds.

Age 2 eye piece mold:

Gonna cast the eye/beard piece in clear. Paint in the areas I don't want to have light show though.

This is the piece that's inside.(I have the age 2 normal and double bullet to modify)

It's so small, I'm not gonna bother to make a two piece mold. Just pour in clear resin and sand it to the correct shape and size.

Zeydra 2013-03-21 17:09

Oh yeah, Double Bullet, and here I was scared they weren't going to do one. Just a bit of a shame I recently picked up the high grade. Oh well, it'll look good next to the Zeydra at least which most certainly will not get a master grade to go with the Age 2.

So, guess they aren't as done with Age as I thought which is cool. Now, I shall go back to praying for a Providence in vain on the hope this bodes well for another Seed master grade or two.

Appel 2013-03-21 17:22

Neat, I didn't expect the release of the Double Bullet so soon. I'll probably pick that one up!^^

Told you it's only a matter of time ;). Still, will the MG shoulder strong enough to support the weapons in dynamic poses? It might become loose and droopy over time just like MG Titus' shoulders.
