It's possible. The smaller shops or the 2nd hand shops(of which there are many) are your best bets. I've sighted p-bandai exclusives like the MG destiny impulse and MG astray red frame in those shops, just have to keep your eyes peeled.

HG Murasame is a decent HG. It has very good proportion and looks rather charming. It's basically the more elegant version of Astray and one of my favorite grunt suits. It's a parts-former though coz its transformation is as complex as Zeta series. Pay attention to the side-skirt armors and the weapon pegs on them as those can be flimsy and worn out if you play with them too much. And don't be too rough on the wings. Other than that, the kit is solid.

As for HGUC Zeta plus, I have no experience with it (yet).

Hmmm... I guess I'll go for it. Goodbye my money!

As a quick note, be careful of where you get the Zeta Plus from, it had a recall issue earlier on (due to a mold defect on the head). It should not be a problem now but just a warning if you are getting from some sort of secondhand place.

Otherwise though its a really good kit from all the reviews I have seen on Youtube

Note its also a parts-former, though I really have no idea why people have such issues with it. So much more sturdy and reliable than a fully transforming kit

The HG Zetaplus Waverider mode is excellent. MS mode--has a few quirks that I don't understand, mainly the torso twist (lack of it).

Sometimes I wonder how I even pulled off assembling the RG Freedom, haha. Posted a few days ago I couldn't get it to hold the beam saber and rifle, and well, I really couldn't @ the saber. But then yesterday I was playing with it and I noticed that I'd been doing it wrong all along. It always did seem weird to me, but I was trying to somehow fit the rifle on the 'RG hands' instead of using the specific ones for holding the rifle, which I didn't even notice existed until I looked at the manual again, lol.

Well, it's all cool now, lol. And speaking of which, got my RG Justice ordered too. Can't wait til it gets here so I can get the Freedom's partner in crime standing next to him~

That's a cool paint-job, Strato. Did you base the color-scheme on a certain character? A Kamen Rider perhaps? If not then your "Blue Warrior" is still very cool ;).

Doing full scratch build cosplay still counts as model ?? Right??

Nah, I didn't use anything as a base reference for this one. I just made an OOB build and thought "let's make it blue."

Then bam.:heh:

Thanks though! ^^

Practically, the guy just built a human-sized mobile suit. I suppose it counts in my book. :P

Why cant the Gunpla be like this? :(

I would have gladly shelled out more for articulation in those arms

The HG's fingers might have been able to emulate the articulation range of a spread hand as shown in the pic if they had just been more tapered instead of flat and chunky. Well High Grades has always just been to fulfill the basic design elements of a model instead of fulfilling every gimmick or function it might carry. I find Robot Damashiis' tend to carry out that promise better, at a much much higher price point of course.

Imo The End is pretty much as spot on as I'd expect a HG to be. Only issue is that the index-pinky fingers come connected in one solid piece, but even still, the way they're jointed make it easy to fix.

The hands are fine and easily fixable imo with slight mods, its the arms that are connected to the hand/faces that is killing it for me

Bandai just cant seem to get the long flexible arms/extensions right, hence why we don't see new kits for units like the Altron EW

Thanks! A local model kit shop owner said the same thing when I showed it to him earlier :D

Still, there are some scratches at the sides of the waist because I tried to separate the parts after I missed a couple of polycaps. Luckily, there's no need for putty to fix the damage.

Call it a case of the design exceeding the limitations. There's just no way any kind of design or jointed system that will allow the extensions to support the weight of the hands, even if both articulation and aesthetics were sacrificed to make it possible.

Wild Goose 2015-03-05 03:33

Plavsky particles animating The End's arms is probably how they can stay up; otherwise they just wouldn't have the structural integrity to do so by themselves.
