its just a bit taller, just like in reality.

i dont care for minute differences in hieght but...

SF: 18.88m
Legend: 18.86m

not a large difference, and not enough to account for that shown in the models...but meh.

The 1200 grit, however, is like abrasing without the the scratches that usually come along. The 1200 grit is so smooth, you'll wonder if you even sanded said area lol. So, I suggest, to start the sanding process, use a 800 or a 1000 Grit, and the 1200 grit to finish of the surface. You can consult here for more ideas on how many grits are usually around.

There's a 1500 grit! :heh: :uhoh:

On a side note, I'm kinda wondering what Gundam is left to MG'ize. Sure, there are many others, but I wonder which one deserves the treatment more :heh: more like, what's bandai gonna think of next....like bring us a new Perfect Grade or something, last two were some sort of event chromatic things, I want to see something new! I want to see......PG Nt-1 Alex! :heh:

(naw just kidding, I would like at least something with alot of gimmicks or weapons. Not stale and simple like my PG RX-78 :heh: , like, the PG RX-178 GP01 FB EFSF UNT....lol that's alot of acronymies:heh: I mean, there's mix and match power! And, I wonder if anyone manage to do a half GP01 Half FB model. Never seen someone do that to their PG GP01. I've gotta ask my brother to try that out lol)

Thanks dood.
Looks like I'll get the 1000 and 1200 grit.

btw, that Hi-Nu on Dalong's looks uber sexy. Only 3 more days now.

As models the Legend is much smaller & its more obvious with backpack removed.

Another question:
I know that using an eraser or sandpaper will remove excess inking when panel lining. However, if I were to use the eraser, will it smudge the ink? Also, for sandpaper, which type is good to remove excess ink. Right now, I only have an 800 and 1200 grit ones.

try the set of nail polishing sticks.
they come in various grade and some are very vert fine...

Ok, how about between the two items I mentioned.
I hear both are very effective, but I just need clarification.

I've heard people using eraser or even wet finger - hopefully not with your saliva - but not the sand paper. Unless you are planning to paint I'd guess you will need ultra fine sand paper to not leave any scratch mark. Even the ones you cannot see easily with naked eyes after put the dull coat you will see them.

or you could use the zippo lighter fuel to wipe out the excess though personally I use this to wipe out using thinned enamel as I don't use the Gundam Marker...

MG SF is also significantly taller than 1/100 Destiny and ∞ Justice.

Don't recall ever seeing this one in the original TV series.
Anyone with any idea where this scene might come from? ^__^

Akyra 2007-02-20 07:13

LOL! But just looking at the design of the gundam, it really is blocky...compared to the new ones now...man anime has come a long way...just makes me think I am old...

Wrong place to post ^^;; While the actual picture you posted is a shop (apparent from the genital alteration :heh: ), IIRC the scene itself is from an episode of MSG, called Dozan's (sp?) island, an episode so horridly animated that it was never included in the NA release.

And just so we're still on topic, Dalong has parts 1 and 2 of its Hi-NU review out.

Unbelievable, looks like Dalong rated the Hi-nu a 99. WOO!
I'm definitely going to get this.

The 2 highest bid was made by new auction account holders. So it's another matter whether they'll pay the full amount of their bid.

What I'm more interested now is that if Mesarion would do a "Detail Evolved" version of Hi-Nu and if he does, just how much crazier will an auction for that be after Dalong rated the MG Hi-Nu so highly. (An almost perfect scrore of 99/100)

PS :-
Man, I have access to 2 hot toy releases for this week, it's either MaxFactory's 1/8 Suzumiya Haruhi or the MG Hi-Nu. Hot chick or Hot Mech,Hmmm.....

lycantivis 2007-02-20 18:04

Meh the noir really doesn't do any thing for me. I have goten quiet bored with the strike/freedom look used so many times. And all the noir looks like is a strike with phase shift off with different wings. And I duno why but it just looks like hg detail to me there just isnt enough to it to make it look like a MG imo.

As for that guys amazing work on his up coming work page it lists MG sazabi Evolve ver, MG hi nu Ver Ka, MG rx-78-2 Ver ka.
