Dynamic tag cannot be rendered. (PrintableThread) *sigh* Just like the MG version of the GAT-X Gundams & RM Strike, this MG Gunner Zaku Warrior is such a departure from the original design that it can't completely replace the old 1/100 kits for purists. This is why I still keep my 1/100 Blitz even though I have the MG. That true-to-lineart kit still has value over the redesign.

I pay it for Woundwort, Foxhound, Pale Rider, and RG astrea

Worth it

I am surprised that RG Astray Gold Amatsu Mina is not a P-Bandai lol

Btw, we have a new line of Gundam figure called Metal Structure and they started big, literally:

You know, at first, I didn't really put much attention to HiRM Astray Noir, but the more I see it, the more I like it:

IMO the bulkiness of the Astray HiRM mold complement the "gangsta" appearance of Astray Noir more nicely than Astray Red Frame.

justavisitor 2019-06-22 14:42

just how many astray variations in there?? I am still stuck in the era of red, blue and gold frame lol

Rising Dragon 2019-06-22 15:45

Too fucking many.

Red, Blue, Gold, Green, Mirage, and Noir, and that's just the original basic frame design. Never mind the Out Frame, Delta, and Lord Astrays.

wavehawk 2019-06-25 07:45

...and if you go by the manga/sidestories, they kind of call theDreadnought Gundam the X Astray...

...Seriously, Astrays are like Ninjas. One or two are cool, a whole hidden village of them are disposable hordes of cannon fodder at this point...

Master Grade Barbatos?

Hoping the FF unit is removable so we can get just the basic Odysseus Gundam underneath. As a whole, the Penelope is actually kinda disgusting. :heh:

Now here's something I totally did not expect:

That thing looks like it's wearing a giant white fur coat

Obelisk ze Tormentor 2019-06-28 20:09

HiRM God is a really nice and much-needed addition considering that the MG God, while good, still needs a refresher. And the HiRM's tendency to bulk up the mech should be a good fit for God.

Yeah, Penelope looks awkward & goofy, but that makes me more interested to watch it in action in a proper anime other than the games:

All these images of the RG Nu Gundam look so SEXY

Edit:

So yes, the HGUC Penelope does have a complete Odysseus Gundam underneath.

Dynamic tag cannot be rendered. (PrintableThread) The mace's head looks proportionally small.

Obelisk ze Tormentor 2019-07-04 19:53

^ Yeah. what's up with the mace? People like the mace because it has a big "head"-part. Is the MG-mace suppose to be retractable and can become bigger? From that image, it looks more like a spear.

LoweGear 2019-07-04 20:05

The mace does look thinner yes, though it's pretty much the same length as always.

Router25 2019-07-05 04:02

If the mace is gonna be that small, I wonder how they'll pull off the Wrench Mace, the Helmwige Sword, and the Lupus Rex Mace? I hope see the Lupus sword keep the same proportions.

Illsteir 2019-07-05 05:07

^The Wrench Mace isn't going to be much of a problem as long as they make the handle rigid (its shape solves this problem) and the head mostly hollow. They can throw in a clear stand just in case.

Speaking of 6th form, I have a feeling that they'll release it as a P-Bandai add-on set

wavehawk 2019-07-05 07:01

If the Mace is smaller, then I expect it to have a few more gimmicks, like maybe it opens up or expands.

...Or maybe the future add-on weapons will fit onto the existing Mace?

- Thinking further: The original Barbatos HG kit maces were purely hollow. I think that if Bandai made a Mace with more gimmicks on it, it would be too heavy for the MG kit to hold or carry without dropping. If Bandai made a hollow Mace, we'd all be raging about how it's a cop-out. You can't win...

I think the Lupus Sword might look better if it was a bit slimmer, but that's my opinion---I always thought it looked like a Cricket Bat and couldn't take it seriously. If it was a bit slimmer and looked more like a thick sword, I'd be for it.
