LightningZERO 2008-12-29 03:09

Interesting 1/100 Arios. Its MA mode now looks more like an aircraft

Knight_SV 2008-12-29 03:58

I'm usually not a fan of enemy unit models, but this one is badass, very detailed too

Err...is there any info about Cherudim getting new equipment or special feature in that pics?

Thanks gsquared,I've forgotten it name since seeing Nena save Setsuna in ep 13.:D

LoweGear 2008-12-29 07:20

No special equipment or such mentioned for the Cherudim. The 1/100 is basically... a scaled up 1/144.

It looks good and all after joining up with the beam rifle. But here's some food for thought :-

How long can the model hold the combined weaponaries up straight before the entire thing got, to paraphrase Char, weighed down by gravity. Didn't Bandai learn their lessons from the MG Wing KA ?

Well they tried by making the model a polycap-less kit, but having no polycaps means that ultimately the joints will wear out and become loose...

Here's hoping they make 1/100 versions of the Garazzo and Gadessa because their 1/144 parallels are really looking quite sharp. That brings up a question I have actually. Is there a reason as to why there are so few 1/100 models in comparison to 1/144?

production cost

Scavenger 2008-12-29 11:32

Gadessa seems to have a good color separation. Doesn't need a lot of paint.

The more expensive the model kit, the smaller the market. Thus the profit to be gained from the sale of each type of MS shrinks, the larger and more detailed the model. Thus it would be more economical to only make the major mobilesuits into larger kits, as they maintain their profitability better when scaled up.

RAVNEN 2008-12-29 12:02

Oh wow, what a kit.It can do so much pose & it come with a unique stand.I bet it can do the infamous "rub the shoulder move".It make me play with my 1/100 Exia for the 20th time this day.:heh:
If Bandai make a 1/100 Garazzo,I wonder if they would include the booster part. That would be awesome.:D

Winchester 2008-12-29 12:37

Nice of them to (finally) supply the missing shields for the HG 00 Gundam with the 0-riser - wonder why they didn't put them in the 00 Gundam kit in the first place, like they did with the 1/100 version... Anyway, my 00 and 0-riser are on order with HLJ now. I hope I can still pay for them by the time they're ready to ship... ^_^;;;

Delivery dude woke me up this morning to drop off the Exia I ordered last week, which is a pretty good turnaround time (one week from order processing to delivery). Of course, given that the postage was half again what the kit cost, anything else would have been robbery.

I couldn't resist opening the package to check out the contents, and by the time I was done with that some four hours later, the kit had practically assembled itself. Wonder how that happened. The only bits left to add now are the clear ones, and I'm holding off on those until I've decided how to paint this thing - details only, full do, or total redo... Also, seeing as it's my first Gundam, there wasn't much around the house for it to fight with - I don't have anything else in 1/144, so I'll have to go with "supersized Tyranids" for opponents for now...

Cheers,

SP
