I am just looking for 1/144-1/100 scale models but they must be High Grade. I am interested in all series of Gundam!

High Grade kits are usually 1/144 scale. I don't think there are any HG 100's, but since I really don't keep track of these things, I'm most likely wrong on that matter...

If you want some HG Wing kits, your best bet is the Endless Waltz ones. All of the 144's, save for Tallgeese III are HG kits. Other than that, there is a huge selection of High Grade Universal Century models, as well as both SEED series, 00, and others.

Now, if you want to step up a notch, try out a Master Grade. I've got a few, and most if not all of the veterans on this thread have built at least one. MG's are 1/100 scale, and generally have much better articulation, details, color, and numerous other special features. Most of my MG's have had an internal frame, showing internal details inderneath the armor. MG's are also much better looking out-of-box. If you're anything like me, painting is too expensive, time consuming, or just too much effort (Yeah I'm lazy, get over it.), and MG's are usually quite presentable right after completion. I'd try out a Zaku 2.0 or Gundam 2.0 or something similar. Not too expensive, but still a good warm up to MG building.

... Alright, I'm done.

I may be wrong, but Trans-Am Raiser's GN-Sword III does not look hard that to colour[To normal],maybe just one blue spray at the bottom part will do........unless I'm missing something.

By the way,how do you cleae colour beam sabers and still leave them clear[And maybe modify one coloured clear saber into another]?Gundams Markers?Airbrush?I'm trying to colour the HG Smultron's beam saber orange but I have no idea what method to go with,to make it look like in the instruction pictures......

Also trying to colour HG 00's GN-Sword II Targeting Sensor light blue, which I guess is similar to the beam saber predicament.

Sorry,if this has been answered before or recently, haven't skimmed through the pages yet.

An easy solution would be to use highlighters. Personally I have never tried it out before but it's as easy as it gets.Just apply as satisfactory. Otherwise you can try painting those parts on. A brush, a bottle of thinner and paint will be able to do that well.

I'm not sure if they still make 1/100 scale of Gundam Wing series but i know a place that has them.. If you live in Canada or U.S.A you can go to Hobbywave they still have them. Sometimes they might have trouble restocking so you might have to do a request. Another place is Hobby link Japan, they ship to most places worldwide.

Here are the two links for both places.

I remember older HG kits having 1/100 scale. Gundam X, Gundam Wing (Endless Waltz too), Gundam Victory (I think) are some examples.

Yep.. Bandai did release 1/100 scale Gundam Wing, X, and Victory under the "HG" line in the past. Although those "HG" pales in comparison (in construction and posability) to the "no grade" 1/100 Gundam Seed (especially astray, which arcticulation wise is close to MG) and 00 ones from the recent releases. I think they decided to simplify the line and keep the word "HG" for 1/144 scale, although these days the 1/100 "no grade" is, quality wise, equal to HG 1/144.

If you really want to start from the Wing series, get either the HG Endless Waltz ones, or the MG Wing Zero or MG Wing Ver Ka (both 2 years old-ish MG). I strongly recommend the MG.

I still remember the 1/100 HG Gundam X have pretty wicked panel lines though. Those took a long while to line but they look great when completed.

I highly doubt there'll be Mg Stargazer ever. But after seeing the PG and the attention Astrays have, I supppose MG Red Frame would be quite a possibility. I, personally would have nothing against it, as the MG gold frame'd surely follow :]

But Sword Impulse is a great kit really. I am currently going through the process of assembling it and damn it looks sweet...

I know it's cheaper to release models similar to previous ones, but how long should I wait for them to release in the HGUC:

Psycho Gundam MK II *
ZZ Gundam
Queen Manthra *
Anything from F91
Anything from Victory

*: I know these ones would be big and expensive, so I can understand those even though they did release the original psycho gundam

I dunno if it's for keeping their MG counterparts selling (ZZ, F91), but anyway they should be releasing some of those instead of the 147th release of GM or Zaku mods...

Thing is, the OYW era has plenty of fans in Japan, who love Zeon, Zakus in WWII (see MS Igloo) and Nazi Zeons...

I do understand that, and even I love the Zaku design, but there's a limit to how many times I can see the same model released over and over again without a single release in the middle that it's interesting. The last kits of the HGUC that were pretty cool are the CCA mobile suits, even more if you consider that the MG NU and the MG Sazabi aren't as good as these newer HG in more than one aspect.

I just thought that after CCA the logical thing to do was to release mobile suits from the F91 movie (which I think features awesome designs)

*drools*
I know i'll end up getting like 3 for the sake of it :heh:
Really hope for 1/100 and a MG

Sir Dearka 2009-05-07 19:51

Still, to me Susanowo looks like a humanoid bunny. But I admit that the idea with sword LED is pretty interesting.

Revolutionist 2009-05-07 20:21

Damn, still no word on reborn cannon/gundam? That's really the only model I'm looking forward to =/

Amber.Dawn 2009-05-07 21:08

Japanese Samurai Bunny = woot

The Eye-Zack is probably the weirdest looking Zaku thingy ever...

Instead of them releasing the G Armor they should of made their next MG the Meteor Unit. I'm not bashing the G Armor but i believe the Meteor Unit would be a bigger challenge. It would be cool to see the MG Strike Freedom, and the Freedom and Infinite Justice attach to it as well but it would be pretty big kit. Cross my fingers hope they make it. :)
