can't give you rep points yet
need to spread some more love~

but lol, you've improved basing from your earlier works
my only comment is that there is too much going on in some of your sigs
sometimes, some c4d is blocking the focal of your renders
sometimes, the render is distorted

but I see you've worked those with your new works
I'll give you rep points once I can~

Good work with the newest sig, looks much better than what you started this thread with. Can't say the same thing about your avatar ... Always keep proportions in place .. When you crop, put same values to the box so it will be exactly 100x100. Your current avatar is squashed and thus looks quite bad.

Piplet 2011-04-07 20:34

I was having difficulties creating animated avatar. Maybe I'll just save my time and make static one. ;)

Welcome to FC! *cookies served* ;D

Your work is quite good for a beginner

http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...Piplet/Pip.jpg

http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...Piplet/Len.jpg

These two are especially good - nice colour mix and render blending. I can tell you're getting the hang of things.

Just one comment I want to make is that many of the renders/images on your sigs are distorted (squished and not properly proportioned). A tip: when you change the size of your render with your mouse, hold down the shift key at the same time. This will keep the correct dimensions ratio of your image.

Keep up the great work! :D

Thanks for the suggestion sir !

But, on what you've mentioned. I am holding down the shift key when I am resizing but, I think the render's quality goes down. What's the best sol. for that?

BTW, Thanks for the cookies ! I'm glad that someone's liking my sigs :D

Resizing a picture always degrades it, since your PC has to calculate how to fill the new pixels (in case of upsizing), or merge them together (downsizing). But you should always try to find a larger image and shrink it down to your needs, since the damage is a lot less noticeable. It might become a little blurry in extreme situations, but you can easily fix that in Photoshop with the sharpening tools.

I see that you're trying out a lot of different stuff on your sigs, that's the best you can do right now. Just experiment with everything, try all the styles you can find on the net, shamelessly copy all the techniques and in due time, you'll have your own awesome style of sigs. ;)

Oh...never underestimate the power of colors/fonts! They can make your work a masterpiece or completely destroy it. So try learning when to be subtle and when to go out wild. But that'll come to you naturally as you progress...
