They should release an MG STRIKE FREEDOM, for people like me who are too lazy and cheap to make/buy my own conversion and build one from an MG FREEDOM.

At this point, I'll be happy if any MS from Destiny got a MG version. Strike IWSP is just Bandai milking the Strike mold.. nothing more. Well, at least Bandai is releasing some 1/100s.. can't complain about that.

5The one advantage to them doing all these UC MG units is eventiually, someday, they'll run out of UC MG's to make, and aside from Ver. 2.0's, which I don't think too many need, once they run out, thats it (barring a new UC show going on the air). Eventully they'll have to start looking toward X, Turn A, Wing, G and CE-era stuff. Hell, G alone could net them a LOT of new MG kits assuming they went the UC route and made MG's of any uint they could. X would be a good series to use too, if only for the Gundam X being able to be a remold between the GX Satellite Cannon and GX Divider....just mold the cannon and the Divider parts on their own runners and use the main body as a remold. Hell, make some minor tweaks to the Zaku MG's, maybe even a 2.0-esque rendition and sell them as Borjarnon units from Turn A.
Ugh, the more people bring up the lack of AU MG kits, the more I realize how many great suits there are still out there that haven't gotten MG treatments yet. |
Has anyone heard any rumours of a new MG Char's Zaku kit using the new frame construction? I've been itching to put together a 1:100 UC Zaku. Looking through the selection, though, it looks like there haven't been that many releases since the '90s. From what I've seen, the 1:100 MG MS-06 Zaku II F2 Zeon Version seems to be the most current Zaku out there. I like it, except that I was hoping to do Char's Zaku first. I could paint this one in his colours, I suppose, but it wouldn't be the same.

Strike Freedom is too popular to NOT be made into MG....i mean, powered GM's popularity compared to S-Freedom? :heh: i'm thinking around either GSD SE IV to SEED movie time it will be released?

Oh I know that, it's just that eventually, they'll run out of suits for MG releases that come from UC. It might take 25 years, but someday they will run out, and of course, this only refers to existing UC stuff. Either we'll get more UC shows, pushing off the AU stuff, or in the meantime, we'll get so many AU's that we will never see the majority of AU releases because there will be another 25 years worth of AU stuff to push out.
I know we are pretty screwed no matter what as far as seeing a lot of the AU grunts and stuff but one can hope. |
What I am dreaming about, is future technology might permit a single piece of machinery to produce 30~40 different types of mobile suit kits, and that it would not require a large investment from Bandai to have a new kit added in to the catalogue.
If it's accheived, then Bandai don't need to make ten thousand kits at a time to be profitable... Then Bandai can release every single kit they can dream up, and thus gain profits from the Long Tail. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_tail But still, it's just a dream...:heh: |
Wow I take it no one even bothered to look at my models......

me still wish for MG V2 Assault Buster :D
|
the V2AB is a matter of "when", now that they have breached the 15m MS world, and that is good :D we might see Victory first though...

If they ever release a MG Gerbera Tetra I hope it comes with extra parts to convert it into GP04 :D There a lot of MS that deserves the MG treatment from CCA. Say a Nu-HWS wouldn't be all that hard for bandai. All they would need to do is make the armors to fit Nu... |

Man, those MG Strike Freedom/Saviour models were nice...
I'm still waiting on someone to model an SF with the WoL (since apparently according to Stargazer that's what they are), that would look awesome. |

Well, for something slightely unorthodox and unprecedented, I purchased a semi-difficult-to-find:
http://gunpla-web.hp.infoseek.co.jp/mg-aile-strike.htm Master Grade Aile Strike, at a... cellphone store (of all places)... today for $30 since the owner didn't know what to do with it... I thought that was a pretty good deal. - Tak (Talk about a strike of luck) |

Yes, I'm overreacting, but I was really hoping that they'd stick more to the lineart. |
