I beg to differ. Many Bronze Servants can be very good and absolutely deserve their ascension materials. For example, Asterios is a Berserker debuffer whose NP is even better than Zhuge Liang due to several reasons:
1. you can easily NP5 Asterios whereas NP5 Zhuge Liang requires both a lot of luck and money to achieve.
2. Both of Asterios' debuff will always hit (subject to target's MR) and is always relevant in any fights, whereas Zhuge Liang's stun can miss; his NP Gauge -1 can also 'miss' if you time it wrongly or am trying to set up a combo; and his reduce defense is lower than Asterios at NP1. Not to mention that -6k total Curse Damage is mostly superficial against bosses nowadays.
When used wisely Bronze Servants can do better than even a whole team of Golds.

That's true, for Example Asterio NP is one of the best if not the best Debuff of the game, Hassan has 3 time dodge making more durable than his stat show, Hans is a cheaper and crazier combination of Waver (att&def buff), Medea Lily(healing), Caster Liz/Mephisto/Rulers (Passive Stars gen) and so far his unique full team crit damage buff in one guy of 6 cost. But not every bronze is good (Although the same can be say of silvers and golds), Mata Hari can only charm and debuff, Benki can seal skills, Spartacus can heal, but they bad in so many other aspects that they are very hard to use correctly.
The point is not that golds/silver are better than bronze either bronze guys are useless. But the number of units with great utility of the golds and silvers outnumber the bronze, so in the end people tends to give more attention to higher rarity units.

On a side note I got my 4th Divine Banquet today, one more to go and Vlad can spam sticks with other 2 arts servant like no tomorrow.
