Wow, Tak, you kept all your boxes?! I had to flatten mine and keep them in the closet to save space. The only non-flatten boxes are my 1st ed Destiny, SF, IJ and Legend. And I should start getting some MGs next time I go back to HK.

Cheap MG ey? How cheap?...and where do you live? I hate paying for postage cos by the time i import a kit over to Australia, the postage costs actaully exceeds the overseas savings...

Oh yeh, with those Amazon sales, weren't they for US residents only?

duotiga 2006-10-11 10:52

- Tak (One day, I am gonna build a house using Gundam boxes)

Some time ago I also went on a model buying spree.. bought models much faster than I could build them. My backlog is huge now, and I don't think I'll ever finish all of them. Some of them I don't want to touch at all, since I bought it on impulse and lost interest since then. Oh, what to do... :heh:

Tak 2006-10-11 19:37

Yes, I have an addiction problem. I wonder if there are counciling courses set up for people with model kits addictions...

Imagine I'd walk into a session for the first time...

Now, I can complete the Strike Freedom collection properly. Why? It will be really really hilarious seeing the SF evolve through all these different sized, different looking models grow into this awesome MG version. Almost as if the 1/60 Lightning edition got shrunk and detailed up :heh:

Bandai!! It's so good to be alive :heh: :uhoh: :heh:

I still can't believe how this ugly.... thing.... can be more popular than Zeta or Freedom. .

But let's talk about something else - didn't some Bandai engineer say in a recent interview that they were looking towards "neglected" series for MG's, such as X? I would kill for a MG Gundam X.

P.S. the webpage has some high-quality pics so it may take a while to fully load.

It looks real nice and I love how the modeller himselfs tells us that it wasn't even modelled that great, but what's important is that yourself are satisfied=D

Does this mean there gonna be Savior 1:100? I really want this after Infinite Justice:D

kct 2006-10-12 12:17

It's already been announced some time ago.

SNT1 2006-10-12 12:40

this 2nd half of the year I think the MGs of F91, Xbone and eventually S-F are the only reall good kits out. GoldFrame and GM[G] sniper are ok. everything else is crap.

Meehlimo 2006-10-12 16:45

It would be kinda annoying if the Special Option parts merely allowed you to convert Strike Freedom back into the normal stock Freedom again v_v;...

DarkWarrior 2006-10-12 21:13

Rofl at the Wing Zero stand.. they're reusing it yet again? Anyways, Strike IWSP looks pretty sharp. Too bad I can't stand the Strike design anymore. They've recycled it way too many times for my tastes.

i find the original strike design very appealing, still has that spark ;]

Siege 2006-10-13 23:29

I'd like to see some new PG grade kits from the SEED generation

have just purchased PG STRIKE and PG IMPULSE

I'm also looking into both Freedom versions

DarkWarrior 2006-10-13 23:37

There's no PG Impulse or PG Freedom.. although there is a PG Strike. What you're probably talking about is the 1/60 scale real detail models. They're comparable to HGs in terms of quality, but definitely nowhere near the PG level. PGs are the ones that costs over a hundreds dollars, if not more.

I beg to differ. Have you see the awesomeness of the HGUC Powered GM? It has details rivalling that of an MG model. And when that starts to happen, Bandai had better rethink their MG line.

ah. Of course, I totally forgot the Hazel/PGM/GP02A goodness that the HGUC had lately.

But I stopped collecting 1:144s for awhile now...

Anyways, bringing that into perspective, then its not so bad for the 2nd half after all, maybe just because the Saviour, IWSP, and Stargazer kits are making so much noise right now that I forgot about the HGUCs.

So true. I bought the MG F91, but I can't stand the box art. I was hoping that all MG's would have the same sort of Box Art as seen on the Gundam MK-II Titans box (don't knock it--the box art was part of what completely sold me on that, my 2nd MG kit).

-That's odd. The Hobby Japan pics of the Crossbone show the Zanber (in both Saber and Rifle mode) as having peg gaps. Hmmm...I guess I'll have to look and see when I get mine (Dang for being on the wrong end of the world and thus gettign Gunpla last).

Already out. Well, it's more like "in", since Bandai has a completed mold and had a display version of the model out on a recent showcase, standing next to the F91.

HOWEVER, YOUR PLAN FAILED! I STILL WANT X MORE! >:3

So far there isnt really any new ones that have made me go "ZOMG, must buy!!!". The closest would be the MG Strike Freedom, but i prefer to see what the finished product actually looks like before i order it....

Actually i think it might be a huckbein from super robot wars orginal generation 2. Its a unit that looks like a gundam this might be a powered version. This is also the huckbien MKII's color scheme as well.

Now that you mention it I see some similarity. Thx for the info.

kuraishi 2006-10-16 06:57

hey there, well i got a few questions and if any can be answered be greatly appriciated. ok lets get started

1. do spray pains go bad if u dont use them for like 1.5 years? (in the can) cuz i bought alot of spray paint for my gundams but i stop building them for like ages and i was gonna start again but didnt know if i should use those paints .... btw they are the Mr.hobby brand ... same brand as the actual official gundam paints.

2. is there anywhere to find out which model uses what colour. like a table that tells you what number for the Mr.hobby paint is corresponded for the colour of the gundam for example .... freedom feet blue is "Mr.colour 08 cobalt blue" and the side guns is "Mr.color 117 RML76 Lightblue" i just ordered mg f91 and crossbone and i wanted to know what colours i should be using ^^ the colours dont need to be like full acurate but just acurate enough to look similar to the booklet colours.

3.What tools do u use for sanding?

4.what pens would u use to make lines for EG freedoms head vents ..... those V shaped vent thingos

5. what colour is crossbone X-1s core? link to product?
thanks in advance

It's a Huckebein Mk.III Boxer, and it has been there before OG2...back in the first SRW Alpha. The upgrade is to basically create a larger MS to match up to the level of the larger units, at least size-wise. The Boxer frame is actually meant to be a sword for the SRX.

Well i knew it was a huckbein just wasnt sure from where i know its in OG2 so i just used that as a referance. This unit is also in that game as well.

Hmm.. they don't look painted. So you want comments on how well you snap? Or comments about the collection over all?

If they were painted in some sort of custom scheme, or even snapped but kitbashed, it be something worthy of commenting. Not much to say. Throw some glue around, fix some seams, paint it; then I would be able to make comments.
