I can see the comparison, but this is more of a harem romantic comedy and the fanservice is kinda focused elsewhere. I think this should have better fights than Strike Witches too if animated properly.

It's really nice to see a pretty new light novel series (its first volume was published in May 2009) getting an anime adaptation...

I wonder how many more MF Bunko J light novels have the potential to get an anime adaptation, its really great to see another shounen label (MF Bunko J) getting many anime adaptations... and not just anime adaptations from the shounen label Dengeki Bunko (though it is my favourite shounen label, and has my favourite light novel titles: Shakugan no Shana, Toradora, ...).

Reading the premise from elsewhere it sounds interesting I guess, and the mecha themselves catch my eye. Although let's see how this goes...

Mizuno 2010-06-22 03:52

This should be good. The reviews are pretty positive... at least on Amazon.

There're a ton from MF Bunko now aren't there? Hidan no Aria, Asobi ni Ikuyo, MM! are getting animated, and from before there are Kampfer, Kanokon, Seiken no Katanakaji, Zero no Tsukaima, Kamisama Kazoku etc. I don't know why but I keep expecting Iconoclast to get one (just cause Ichiro Sakaki wrote it), but I would actually bet money that Kikou Shoujo wa Kizutsukanai will get an anime, and maybe Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai as well. As long as Dengeki isn't hogging all of the adaptation I'm happy as well too.

What's Hitagi doing in this lol? Anyway looks interesting, will watch, hope it's attached to a good studio with a decent budget.

Kana Futayo 2010-06-22 04:16

Somehow caught my attention. :heh:
Will be adding this on my wait list. :D

Yeah I know, I did start threads for all/most of these past and upcoming anime adaptations of MF Bunko J light novels :heh: ahhh in my post I meant what MF Bunko J light novels also have the potential to get an anime adaptation other than those that have already been announced/animated. I think that Dengeki Bunko might have met its competitor in anime adaptations of light novels... though its my favourite label, but still I would like to see diversity of shounen light novels from various shounen light novel labels getting animated.

Just looking each month at the covers of the new MF Bunko J light novels somehow makes me wish all of them will get animated :heh: :eyespin: sorry for my perversion... lol

In that case, you're my perverted comrade! But really, a lot of those illustrations are better than their manga or anime counterparts :D.

I've got this feeling too, and I finally remember. Definitely the My-Hime/Otome feel from this with the battle system (no partner though), just the armor equipment thingy.

Bonta Kun 2010-06-22 18:32

Looks pretty interesting and seems it will be great eye candy so yea guess I'll put my name down for it:D

I don't judge a book by it's cover but there are times when I just go "yea, looks like fun, I'm in!":p

Imagine Sunrise or Kyoani animated this for us, there is a high chance too, the illustrator of the light novel did do some gundam girl art. Now I see why the art seem so familiar
