Part of a multi-project that also includes game, live concert, etc. This anime titled 'Venus Project" will be coming for Summer 2015. It will have 6 episodes (30 minutes each)

Looks interesting seeing I love fictional idol stuff despite the oversaturation of it, but throwing 6 episodes instead of 12 is just too short, never see it that episode formula very often since Black Rock Shooter. What intrigues me to the series in the first place however is the involvement of Galat, since they are involved as the makers of Magica Wars Lock-on! (sadly the game service ended this year early on) and Magica Wars Zanbatsu, hope the franchise itself and Galat participate in more works in the future.

Here's the premise for those who want to know about the upcoming series:

The story is set in Japan in the future, not too long from now. In this world, data devices and video technology have been progressing to new heights, and people are abuzz about a new form of entertainment — Formula Venus. In Formula Venus or "F-V," the chosen top idols battle in live performances with their willpower, skills, and all their experience gained.

The television series will actually be six anime episodes and six live-action variety episodes, each 30 minutes long. The anime's story will be set in the same world as the game's, but it will feature a new anime original protagonist, "an aspiring idol aiming to be Venus." The Venus Project booth at Anime Japan 2015 will announce more information about the anime at the Tokyo Big Sight venue from March 20 to March 22.

Before the anime premieres, the Venus Project card battle role-playing game will begin service on the PS Vita on April 21. The free-to-play idol-training game's voice cast will feature LinQ idol group member Ami Himesaki as Karen Takano (center in top image), voice actress/singer Rui Tanabe as Mitsuki Sarashina (right), idol Ruka Nemoto as Yū Kashima (left), former Onyanko Club idols Eri Nitta and Akiko Ikuina, and voice actress/singer Kanako Sakai. Also on April 21, the web comic will begin free distribution. A real-life event is planned for October, and there will also be radio programs (over-the-air and online) and other tie-in efforts.

So okay, I found the first episode of the live action variety show and it was entertaining, but is it possible to discuss that when it had to do with the anime and game franchise itself?

In other news, the anime adaptation won't actually premiere in completion until August 16, be prepared.

unmmm... is this not an actual anime?

2nd episode... is made up of entirely of RL Idol activites... skipped through entire episode trying to find when the anime starts... but went through all 25 mins, see ZERO ANIME...

So yea... Dropped... (at least it's pointless to watch until the real thing is out...)

also, anime sites (besides this) needs to relist this series as unaired instead of airing and adding episode counts, made me think the series actually started (also wondered why after 2 episodes it wasn't listed in animesuki's current series, had to google to find this thread)

I think this is because the "first episode" was an actual anime... which got people confused.

Tho in one month time, I probably won't watch it anyways, rarely do check ups on which anime is "newly release" after season started... why start 1 month late? lol....

So yea... this series started as an anime just to grab in watchers than switch the entire thing into RL for publicity... is stupid.
