Personally I prefer shoujo... I'd rather see a girl making a fool of herself than a guy. (with a girl it's cute, with a guy it's embarrassing :p)

i'd suggest peach girl, the romance had me had me going YES! and NOOOOO! and cheering sae on when that's the last thing i thought i would ever do. in short, watch this romance anime, very well worth it.

also, who could forget to add kiminozo :P

No love for Honey and Clover? Watch that definitely. Lots of realistic, sympathetic relationships going on with some genuinely dramatic moments, exceptional character development and plenty of laugh-out-loud scenes too.
