If you don't have a steady hand, tape the tabs on the edges and handpaint the missiles. Correct any mistakes afterwards with a small brush. I don't think it would be worth trying to mask all the tiny gaps. You could try it if you have alot of time on your hands.

Appel 2010-12-29 12:24

haha! i finally found a shop that sells the PG astray a little below bandais retail price and not for around $220 like all those ebay sellers XD i cant wait to get it, it will be my first perfect grade^^

what i did for my type-d, and i'll try to get picks up later, is paint the bottom gray first and then the missles orange. any slightly spilled orange on the gray won't be that noticable.

also paint the part while they're still seperate. it close to impossible if you try to paint them connected.

also i handbrushed. dunno if you where thinking of airbrushing.

MG 00Q Quantum Burst mode :love:

** It's a diorama, nothing from Bandai yet.

DV04 2010-12-31 05:06

One of the reasons why I didn't buy a MG 00 Qan[T] yet since there's a possible chance of them coming out with the Quantum Burst gimmick.

LightningZERO 2010-12-31 05:23

And that the MG release lacks quite a lot of extras such as stands for the bits...even Robot Tamashii has the ring for GN Field effect, plus beam saber parts...

Yeah, but the ring for the RD figure isn't green. So it's kinda lacking in the whole effect department.

Appel 2010-12-31 15:37

that is one pretty diorama!^^
i dont really care about the quantum burst gimmick, i just like the quanta itself, thats why i ordered the master grade kit. and i dont really regret that! the quantum burst kit once its released will be more expensive (i dont have a lot of money) and take up more space (which i dont have, either). and i am very happy with the kit as it is right now, it has amazing posability, im especially happy with the legs, they are amazing!
in terms of posability its my favorite kit right now^^ but im sure that will change once my PG astray arrives XD

That looks awesome. Is that possible with just the normal GNS-IV or is it modded to fit there?

Regarding the upcoming Shenlong MG....

HW Japan has the Shenlong MG available for pre-order but their price is 6,860 yen. See here: http://www.hwjapan.com/sh/BAN10122991.aspx

Does anyone know why the price is so much higher then the previously released MG's from the same line?

HAPPY NEW YEAR, btw!!!

It's not supposed to be that expensive. According to the magazine scans a few pages back, the MG Shenlong Ver. Ka should only be 3,990 yen. It's either a massive typo on HW Japan's part, or they're ripping us off :heh:

MoonLightShadows 2011-01-02 01:28

Thank You GrimmReaperNL and JC..., After you mentioned handbrushing it sounds alot easier to paint the missles. I'll go find my small brushes an try it. I was going to try a spray can on them. :p

Found some old pictures of Cagalli an Shinn Fighting and Kira come from the sky an saves her.

duotiga 2011-01-02 06:56

Buy the clear version of the FS :D Or just use it for messing around with the Shields (like hobby no toriko)

Nice. Where I live the movie kits aren't out yet -.-. when they are, I'm gonna buy me some Zabanya Goodness!

Justick 2011-01-02 09:14

I only got one Full Saber but after seeing all this mod it makes me wants get another. :D

duotiga 2011-01-02 09:18

1 thing note abt full saber add on parts is that is rather flimsy for the sword IV=\

Butagami 2011-01-02 17:15

After seeing all these different gundams equipped with the FS, I think the one best suited for it is...... the 0 Gundam.

StrikeFreedomV2 2011-01-02 19:41

That "Masakado" looks pretty damn awesome!

GN0010 Nosferatu 2011-01-02 19:55

It's so pointy! How would one hold it safely? :p

bio9205 2011-01-02 21:09

Yeah, I saw those mods in an issue I borrowed from a friend. Pretty darn awesome.

Tanooki 2011-01-02 23:27

thanks!!! but word of advise for full saber: the connector holder to hold the full saber will be loose if pulling in & out of saber too much =|

I probably enjoyed watching 00 the most of any, but have been buying models since like 1987 or something rediculous like that. I just buy them based on what I can find without going online, and what looks good. I would like to get a burning gundam and a few others. That gold sumo is pretty rare I believe too.

Yeah I know what you mean. I started buying them when the Gundam Wing models were coming out. Since online ordering was pretty much non-existent at the time, I had to rely on what the stores were carrying.

Tanooki 2011-01-03 11:05

When I was little my dad traveled to japan a lot and would bring me back a model from each trip. I have some interesting ones from that.

I'll bet; I'm somewhat jealous.

Elo the Blue 2011-01-03 12:41

Amazing. I actually like it more when the arms when the arms and weapons aren't extended.

Butagami 2011-01-03 15:59

That looks nice, I'll take it.

How do they make these things??? It looks so like the real one!

GN0010 Nosferatu 2011-01-03 17:31

Those who don't like the Gadelaza, are Nazis.
