In all seriousness I wonder if that is its original config if so, wow Astaroth really did lose alot. Quote:
Between RG Sinanju and the IBO kits, it seems I'll have to learn how to photosynthesize. |
Should I feel bad that the only thing I like about that Red IBO MS is the feet?
I am actually more excited about the Revive Hyaku-Shiki than the RG Sinanju right now. I was tempted to buy the old HGBF Mega Shiki to convert it but resisted the urge. Now I'm happy--not only because a proper Hyauk Shiki is out, it's NOT electroplated! Hooray! <<---dislikes metallic plastic with a passion. |
so is it like now a reoccurring theme that side story manga protagonist Gundams are red coloured? :heh:
SEED > Astray Red Frame 00 > Astrea type-F Gunpla Builders Beginning G > red on white Beginning Gundams AGE > Age-1 Daiki version Phoenix Wear(?) Build Fighters > various red custom gunplas & now the red Astaroth. |
The red ones go faster, or maybe cheap red primer.
I'm also kinda curious about those large shoulder binders if there is any offensive function on those (maybe flight wings) and the new weapon on its side. |

^ Wait, Blastoise doesn't have a hammer. So that Gusion shouldn't carry one! *nitpicky at its best* :p
|
well at least someone still remembers how awesomely designed the Vagan suits are to be used as a dragon type Pokemon base :heh:

Is that Dom supposed to be Venusaur? It looks more like a Vileplum.
|
i don't think the red ms is astaroth variant or original form, maybe it was the gundam that the main character search of for revenge. and i can smell, HGUC Zeta revive will be out due to end of the year

why the HG revive Hyakku Shiki isn't just in its metallic gold version instead of the creamy yellow colors? :heh: |

The Venusaur is weird though. |
There's not many mobile suits in the franchise that translate well into Venusaur.

I didn't feel it before but the new P-Bandai announcements make me sad. RE 1/100 Efreet Schneid and MG Hyaku Shiki Kai are right up my alley while the 1/144 Ghost Jegan M and F look pretty good too. Can't forget the RG Astray Gold Frame as well.

Also, I think they're using the HGBF Mega Shiki for this version. I haven't built the Mega Shiki, but one of the other pains about the original HGUC and MG Metallic Hyaku Shiki kits was that their sprues had to be specifically undergated--so as not to destroy the metallic look of the kit. Even then there were issues. I don't know if the Mega Shiki kit was undergated. This is actually one of the reasons I hate metallic kits with a passion: you spend more for a metallic kit than you would for a normal kit, and you'd have to put in a lot of work making sure the nibs/sprue cuts don't ruin the look of the kit. The two times I've had an all-metallic kit had me spending weeks stripping off the metallic paint and repainting it from scratch anyway because I screwed up just one sprue cut. Both were the old no-grade G Gundam 1/144 kits in "Hyper gold" colors. Ugh. I'd rather have a non-metallic kit that's cheaper since I'm going to be putting the work to make it look good anyway. That way I don't have to grab a magnifying glass and ensure my sprue cut is so flawless that it doesn't need putty, cement or sanding. The only exception I've ever made to metallic parts were the blades of the RG Exia, and only because they're done well enough that I don't need to stress about having to sand nub marks and repainting the damn thing. Additional: I actually like my Hyaku Shiki to look a dull brushed-metallic look as opposed to mirror shiny metallic. Some guys I know like painting their Hyaku Shiki plain yellow. So I think that, while plasticky gold is disgusting this is probably the best way to sell out a Revive Hyaku Shiki. Or else they can just release two versions, one metallic and one not. |
