That reminds me: What do you guys recommend for panel lining?

im sorry to bother you al, but i have a (kinda noobish) question >_<
can I use any (wire) cutter for the sprues?
I recently received the HG 00 gundam+0raiser+gn sword III as a present, but I do not have any prior experience with plastic models and i'm kinda afraid that I will terribly mess up the kit and render it useless...
if anyone has any tips for this kit or what equipment i should get, it will be greatly appreciated

That depends on your patience. The quickest way would be to use a pair of scissors as far away from the piece as possible then use a pair of nail clippers to remove the nub. The most effective way would be to cut out the piece, wire cutters will work if there is enough space between the piece and the frame, and then just file the nub away. Either way, be sure to hold onto the piece with one hand while you're cutting the pieces away, otherwise they will either go flying or snap in half.

Gundam markers would do the job. Maybe others can give u more info.

@Sir_e

I have never use wire cutter on gundam kit before, but its safer to use plastic nippers. Coz the plastic nippers cut through the plastic,so it give a clean cut & leave minimal sprue. Here a quick rundown on basic tool for gundam modeler by a famous Gundam reviewer on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/rrobbert...67/qT4a0G-2o7Y

Is the kit good? Is it included its action base or i have to buy it separately? (because it's my first time to buy a MG kit). Also, does it look good without painting? :heh:

As RAVNEN said. I got the kit, too and I only used a Gundam marker for additional panel-lining. It remains one of my favorite MGs next to the Infinite Justice and Force Impulse.

So, what kind of action base should i get? I'm going to get this one
http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10057474
Does this support the kit?

action base 2 you use for HG, 1/144 and such kits

for MG's you should use action base 1

Ya know, seeing that Setsuna had a Flag, this might be our once chance to get a Robot Damashii figure of a NON GNMS.

I was also thinking about getting merchandise from the ELS. Anyone think we might get anything for them? Assimilated GN-XIV and Brave at the most?

At the most. Given that they released the Season 1 & 2 Trans-Am suits (except Gadessa and Garazzo) I'm expecting at least a Trans-Am GN-XIV and Brave Commander-Type (and the Gundams of course). Still hoping for a Gadelaza though...

Do you guys think they'll release an HG 1/144 Qan[T] in Quantum Burst Mode, or do you think that will be solely an MG feature like Exia Ignition Mode? By the way, any confirmation on the HG 1/144 Raphael release date yet?

Well, it's 21 here in the Philippines as of right now, so to me it's only a day away. :heh:

That explains it then. It's two days away in the US... :frustrated::frustrated::frustrated:

Dude, the Gadelaza is NOT going to happen, at least not in Robot Damashii scale, which is all about giving larger MS/MAs proper scale. There is a small chance it could get a model kit release, the but the scale would be extremely botched.

I'm perfectly aware of that, but that doesn't mean I can't have hope. On another note, I'm surprised they haven't announced a GN-XIV kit yet.

GN0010 Nosferatu 2010-09-20 18:33

It's a given, all we need is just a confirmation. We'll get one before the year is out.

No doubt. I'm just somewhat surprised that it wasn't announced with the Brave kits.

GN0010 Nosferatu 2010-09-20 19:11

Well the Braves are entirely new MS. The GN-XIV is an inevitable entry to the GN-X lineage. The Braves have more importance over the GN-XIV.

Makes sense... but if that's the case then why release the 00 Condenser Type so early?

Because it's a Gundam. Gundams will always take priority over grunts in terms of release.
